'No government dependent on a democratic vote could possibly agree in advance to the sacrifices which any adequate plan for European Union must involve. The people must be led slowly and unconsciously into the abandonment of their traditional economic defences, not asked…'
So wrote Peter Thorneycroft, Edward Heath’s Tory colleague and friend.

French PM Raymond Barre was still more explicit in his contempt. “I have never understood why public opinion about European ideas should be taken into account at all,” he said.

Such autocracy in the face of democratic will has characterised the European project from the outset. The Commission, from which 75% of our laws emanate, is unelected. The Parliament is an impotent charade.

In 1975, our parents were asked if they fancied being members of a common market. We have never been asked whether we wanted to surrender the power of the people in Parliament, the supremacy of our own Courts or a huge proportion of our GDP and natural resources.

It is a tenet of natural law that there can be no constitutional change without plebiscite. Our constitution has been bulldozed without permission.

Our politicians kill and require people to die in the name of democracy, yet no one seems in a hurry to define it.

In 1830s, with the mail-coach, macadamisation and the railways suddenly bringing news and standard time to the isolated provinces, the mob demanded an increased say in its governance. Politicians sneered and drew up the drawbridge. Only a few wise Whigs and, at the last, the monarch saved us from bloody revolution by broadening the democratic base.

Today, in the wake of a similar communications revolution and with the people able to vote in real time for an X Factor or Big Brother contestant, there is justifiable bewilderment at seeing control of our lives taken further and further from us, and foreign politicians becoming unrepresentative and unaccountable as Tudor monarchs.

I deplore the EU. It is corrupt, smug and wasteful. It costs the British taxpayer £48m a day and yet seems to me to yield no discernible benefits. It is not for these reasons, however, that I launched the first public petition to have brought the prime minister to the despatch box and to trigger a parliamentary debate in which 81 Tory MPs rebelled against a cowardly, undemocratic three-line whip. It was rather my conviction that Britons, no less than Tibetans or Kashmiris, must enjoy self-determination.

All three principal political parties are aware that the electorate has this right. That is why all pledged a referendum - until in power. David Cameron gave ‘a cast-iron’ pledge that turned to butter in the heat of office. He blamed coalition, but Nick Clegg had also declared a desire to see the matter settled by plebiscite, so in fact Cameron has a clear mandate. He has ignored it.

He vowed that instead he would ‘negotiate’ the return of sovereign powers from within the EU. This is gibberish, as was demonstrated when he postured on fiscal autonomy. The EU is run by qualified majority. A single member cannot ‘negotiate’ with 26 others for special treatment.

So now, as EU rulers meet to debate the merits of deficit-spending vis-a-vis austerity, we will maintain the pressure.

There will be another petition (www.haveyoursay.eu) and another. You owe your job to the people, Mr Cameron. They ask only to be heeded and to have a say as to who governs them. Deny them that, and you deny democracy - and so your own position.

UKIP: The Robert Galvin Report

The Galvin Report, named after Robert Galvin, the EU Internal Audit official, was written in 2006 as an audit of the expenses and allowances claimed by a sample of more than 160 MEPs. The existence of this report was kept secret until February 2008 when news of its existence was made public by Chris Davies MEP. Even then, its contents remained secret and a select group of MEPs were only allowed to read the report individually in a locked and guarded room.

The Report’s findings include the following:

Serious and repeated anomalies in payments for office assistance and services.
Dubious large cash payments are made to staff and service providers over and above salaries.
Improper registration and tax compliance of service providers.
Invoicing is lax or non-existent.
Some MEPs are paying set amounts straight into the coffers of their political parties.
Paying Agents’ expense claims are opaque or even unrecorded.

We would urge all of our readers to write to Marjory Van Den Broeke, Head of Press at the European Parliament, to demand that they publish a full list of all those MEPs forced to pay back expenses.

This is what Nelson McCausland - current Minister (MLA) for Social Development in the Northern Irish Government - thinks of Nigel Farage and his take on libertarianism.

Nigel Farage MEP is the leader of the United Kingdom Independence Party. Many Ulster folk will share their stance in relation to the European Union but there is another aspect of UKIP which most people will find less appealing and that is its libertarianism.

The libertarianism of the UKIP leader leads him to a position where he wants to legalise prostitution and heroin! That is the sort of position that libertarianism leads to.

UKIP: Farage in the Express

We note that the Daily Express has been quoting Nigel Farage in a recent article on the EU. Farage claims that he is determined to find out “exactly how they were wasting people’s money”!

What a pity that the Express reporter couldn't be bothered to ask Nigel the same question! How about starting off with asking Farage what happened to the £211,000 that 'vanished' from UKIP's SE accounts? Or why not ask Nigel how he spent the £2 million he claimed in expenses as an MEP? See: LINK

And what of the allegation that Farage has been ordered by OLAF to pay back a 'substantial' amount of money to the EU? We note that he refuses to discuss the allegation. See: LINK

And don't forget that employs his wife on £30,000 a year - all thanks to the EU. And what about Annabelle Fuller, Nigel's mistress? How much is she getting from the EU purse?

And remember this?

On July 25th 1999, Meridian TV’s ‘Seven Days’ programme, put a straight question to Mr Farage, and received in response an unequivocal answer. An answer that has now come back to haunt Nigel.

UKIP: Godfrey Bloom makes an arse of himself ...... again!

An MEP from the UK Independence Party has been condemned by LGBT groups for questioning the European Commission on the legitimacy of funding of an LGBT rights organisation.

Godfrey Bloom was criticised by The European Parliament’s Intergroup on LGBT rights for asking the European Commission to justify the funding given to the International Gay and Lesbian Association, Europe.

Mr Bloom was accused by lesbian MEP, Nikki Sinclaire, of abusively calling her “queer”, which UKIP denies. The MEP wrote several questions to the European Commission which alleged that the group received funding from private donors who could “own” NGOs.

The Intergroup says this infers questions over the legitimacy of ILGA-Europe’s work towards equality for LGBT people.

As the main organisation working for LGBT rights, ILGA-Europe receives funding from several sources, the biggest being the European Commission. The organisation’s accounts are publicly available, and they are regularly audited.

A comment made by Michael Cashman, MEP, co-president of the EP LGBT Intergroup said: “Mr Bloom’s attempt to undermine European funding is unworthy of exposure. He should focus on the substantial question, which is equality and non-discrimination. But I don’t expect this from a colleague who believes women’s rights are a waste of time. Thankfully, he doesn’t represent the majority of decent British people.”

Ulrike Lunacek MEP, Co-president of the LGBT Intergroup, commented, saying that Mr Bloom: “is a true role model for bullies around Europe.”

A similar question was asked by Konrad Szymański, a Polish MEP last month, and The European Commission is to address their questions in coming weeks.

However, a UKIP spokesman told PinkNews.co.uk today that Bloom was not homophobic but was looking out for the interests of the taxpayer.

He said: “Bloom and UKIP’s beef as a whole is we are uncomfortable with people calling themselves NGOs when they are state funded.”

UKIP’s spokesman said the gay rights group obtains 75% of its funding from the EU and the Dutch government.

He continued: “He who pays the piper calls the tune.

“IGLA-Europe is dishonest about its relationship with the EU. It’s going to be very difficult if the group wished to oppose strongly an EU policy because there would be a threat that their funds would be cut.

“To describe themselves as an NGO is false. It’s not about a policy issue, it’s about the relationship between that body and government.”

Bloom asked the Commission: “How does the Commission view the influence that wealthy individuals may exert over the NGOs they are subsidising?

“Is there a risk that persons such as George Soros could “buy” themselves one or more NGOs that are economically dependent on their donations?”

Godfrey Bloom was ejected from the European Parliament chambers in 2010 after heckling German MEP, Martin Schulz with the Nazi slogan: “Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Fuehrer,” to German politician, Martin Schulz.

A new YouGov opinion poll for Hugo van Randwyck shows support for EFTA/EEA has increased to 44%, while support for EU/EEA membership has fallen to 21. EFTA is the European Free Trade Association, which allows member countries to run their own agriculture, fisheries, Home Affairs and Justice, and if the UK were a member, would contribute around £3bn less to the EU per year. The EEA, is the European Economic Area, which allows for free movement of goods, services, capital and people in all EU countries and also Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein. The Don't Know is high at 35%, interestingly with those 60+ having a 25% Don't Know and those 18-24 having a 49% Don't Know..

A similar poll was conducted in 2010 and the results below show a comparison with 2010 in brackets, i.e. 2012 (2010). The new poll also adds that as a member of EFTA, the UK can still be a member of the EEA. Also the question has been added to, i.e. from EFTA or EU, to EFTA/EEA or EU/EEA.

"The European Free Trade Association (EFTA) was set up in 1960. Britain had previously been a member of the EFTA, but it left to join the European Community (the EC, which later became the EU) in 1973.

In the 1990s the EFTA joined the EEA (European Economic Area), of which the EU is also a member, which allows for free movement of goods, services, capital and people in all EU countries. If Britain became a member of the EFTA, this would not affect its membership of the EEA. The EFTA has no common agricultural or fisheries policy, no economic union, nor any common foreign, security and defence policy between individual countries. These are run by the parliamentary member states. As a result, the cost of Britain belonging to the EFTA, if it decided to join, is estimated to be approximately £3 billion per year. Forget all the usual nonsense that continues to pour forth from Farage and his sycophants about UKIP replacing the Lib Dems as the third party in British politics. Stuart Parr - never one to let the truth get in the way of a good lie - has even gone on record as saying that "UKIP is quite firmly cemented as the third party in English local politics".

Kim Gandy: Nigel Farage opens his arms to embrace yet another extremist in the UKIP ranks

The name of Kim Gandy is causing a bit of a stir in UKIP circles at the moment. The East London Advertiser is also taking an interest in her, not least because of the fact that a senior UKIP figure in London is facing serious allegations, and his case would not be helped in the least by the exposure of bigotry within UKIP in London.

On February 11 2011 Ms Gandy posted a photo of 2 'Love Music, Hate racism' activists on Facebook, along with the comment "Scum like this should be sterilised at the very least".

She also appears to be connected with a website, 'The British Patriots Society'. http://www.britishpatriotssociety.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=92:labours-own-goal-the-desecration-of-british-multiculture&catid=46:kim-gandy-articles&lang=en Note the url actually contains Gandy's full name.

On this website, she refers to Muslims as "the lowlife scum society of Extreme Islam". She appears to like the word "scum".

Regardless of her grandiose claims she did not leave the anti-unionist English Democrats party and join a pro-unionist party like UKIP. She was kicked out. We note that the odious Paul Nuttall has been crowing about being quoted in the Daily Express. What a pity that the paper in question couldn't be bothered to do a little bit of research before seeking quotes from this disgusting, corrupt and lying individual. We would advise them in future to avoid this man least they be tainted by his corruption.

The odious Paul Nuttall is a disgrace to UKIP and the whole euro-realist movement. The sooner he is kicked out as an MEP the better!

1.- Paul Nuttall is often called "Mussolini", even by members of his own party. Former UKIP members have dubbed him "Il Duce of the North-West".

2.- UKIP North West was dealt a massive blow after several party members resigned following disputes with Paul Nuttall over his dictatorial attitude.

3.- Nuttall has one of the worst attendance records in the European Parliament, meaning he's often absent when crucial decisions for Britain have to be made.

4.- Nevertheless, that's never stopped him from living a lavish lifestyle at the taxpayer's expense.

5.- He's forced criminal convicts on UKIP branches.

6.- Nuttall and Farage colluded to trick UKIP members from other regions into thinking the North-West region was thriving, by listing phantom branches on the party's website.

7.- He and Farage worked together to undermine the democratically-elected candidate of UKIP Gregg Beaman, until the latter resigned in disgust.

8.- Nuttall has forged close links with far-right, fascist, homophobic and racist groups in the European Parliament.

UKIP's Stuart Parr describes UKIP literature as "xenophobic crap”

Stuart Parr (parish councillor, former Lib Dem supporter and twat) is perhaps best known for telling lies about Nikki Sinclaire and kissing Nigel's backside at every opportunity via his 'Farage Sycophants (bloggers) 4 UKIP' blog. LINK

However, his 'love affair' with Nigel may soon come to an end after certain comments recently came back to haunt him!

Eyebrows have been raised in UKIPPER circles after it emerged that Parr once described UKIP literature on his blog as"the usual inconsistent xenophobic crap …...... stops me from taking UKIP seriously at all”.

It moves, it talks, it walks but the lights went out years ago

And how apt that Mr Parr titled his blog 'The Insane Ramblings of Wonko the Sane'!

So why is Parr now quite happy to promote a party and a leader that happily sits with fascists and racists in the EFD group in the EU parliament? LINK . So much for his concerns about xenophobia! The man is a hypocrite!

“It has been brought to my attention that the English Democrats are fielding Garry Bushell in the delayed elections in South Staffs.

My contact forwarded me a copy of the election leaflets from each party that’s standing. Conservatives … dull. Labour … dull, lies and false promises (what else would you expect from a party headed up by Traitor Blair?). Lib Dems … dull and 4 pages! UKIP … the usual inconsistent xenophobic crap. English Democrats … excellent!

The EDP leaflet was a single page, bright and clear. It is in red and white (of course) and clearly sets out what they are standing for in a few paragraphs and bullet points. It looks completely different from the standard dullness of the main three parties and the garish purple and yellow of the UKIP.

While I’m on the subject of the UKIP leaflet, there were some inconsistencies. Their first bullet point said that they would withdraw the UK from the EU and save £39m a day. Then the third bullet point says that with the £30m a day saved from leaving the EU they would cut council tax. So which is it? £39m or £30m a day? Also, is that £39m (or £30m) a day net of the lost trade, subsidies, grants and preferrential trade agreements that we get from the EU? Apart from the inconsistencies such as the money side of things, the deliberate missing out of important information and deliberate misleading stops me from taking UKIP seriously at all.

South Staffs is a fairly rural constituency and I think it would benefit from the time and attention that the English Democrats could give it.

I also think it would benefit from the increased profile having a minor celebrity and journalist as it’s elected representitive. Finally, as an English constituency and one that would be swallowed up by a meaningless region that it has no links to, I think voting for a non-regional, pro-English party would be in its best interests.

I normally vote Lib Dems myself but if I was in South Staffs, I would certainly take this opportunity to vote for Garry Bushell.”

Would Nigel Farage care to comment on the allegation that OLAF - the EU's anti-fraud office - has ordered him to pay back "a substantial amount of money" after he was found guilty of misusing his MEP allowances? It has been said that the sum in question exceeds the amount that Derek Clark was ordered to pay back. LINK

And how sad that Nigel Farage has to brag that he has a chauffeur. Is he really that insecure that he feels the need to try to impress people - usually women - with this rubbish? UKIP and Stuart Agnew set out to deceive public over debate

Stuart Agnew. Once famously described by Nigel Farage as being "Thick as Sh*t but he has money"

UKIP's leadership is clearly incapable of telling the truth.

In recent piece (on the official UKIP website) it was declared that 'UKIP MEP and agriculture spokesman Stuart Agnew scored a resounding victory at an Oxford Union Conference debate, significantly changing the majority view held before the event. Debating the motion earlier this week, “This House believes that British Agriculture could thrive outside of the European Union,” Mr Agnew found himself pitted against Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George and Young Farmers Club Agriculture Committee Member, Mark Houlton.'

You will note how UKIP claims that it was an 'Oxford Union Conference debate'. They lied. This was clearly a deliberate attempt on the part of UKIP and Stuart Agnew to deceive the public. Agnew actually spoke in a debate at a farmers' conference which had hired the building from the Oxford Union! See: LINK. The conference had absolutely nothing to do with the famous Oxford debating society!

Lib Dem MP Andrew George, who also spoke in the debate, somehow managed to publish the correct information on his website with a heading 'George to debate at Oxford Farming Conference'. What a great shame that both Agnew and UKIP failed to follow his example and actually tell the truth for once!

We also note the UKIP website fails to mention that Agnew was reticent, made bungling attempts to influence the debate, and was soon sidelined by his seconder, Milly Wastie, East Midlands Regional Officer of the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.

UKIP: Godfrey Bloom, the Far Right & the pro- EU European Alliance for Freedom

The European Alliance for Freedom (EAF) is a pro-EU pan European political party. UKIP MEPs are not allowed to sit in these pro-EU entities following a ballot of members in 2010, but that has not stopped UKIP's Godfrey Bloom from being president of the EAF, where he sits with his fellow board members from the neo-nazi Vlaams Belaang, and the far-right Austrian Freedom Party. So much for the will of the UKIP membership, or the "gibbons" as Bloom calls them.

The EAF statute is interesting, and it calls into question Bloom's relationship with both the EAF and UKIP. It states: "A member may be expelled for not abiding by the principles and objectives of Article 2 of the statute,"

So what is Article 2? This calls "for a non-centralised, transparent, flexible and democratically controlled EU" and wants "to sustain diversity and accountable cooperation at a European level ". It also wants "to uphold freedom of political expression and association across Europe and especially within the structures of the EU;"

So why has Bloom not only not been expelled (as he is supposedly a withdrawalist), but also been made president of the EAF?

The answer, dear reader, is simple. The anti-EU rhetoric of the UKIP leadership clique is purely for domestic consumption. It is to garner your votes and, more importantly, your money and the salaries that come with being on the EU gravy train.

But let us look a little deeper into the EAF. The party is based in Malta (although it has no Maltese politicians amongst its membership), and its representative on the island is one Isabelle Sammut. Ms Sammut is the daughter of Joe Sammut, a Maltese socialist and former treasurer of the Maltese Labour Party. Mr Sammut nailed his colours to the mast when he stated "Everyone agrees that the EU was a very positive development." Mr Sammut's business practices at the moment include helping immigrants obtain Maltese residency so that they can enjoy "Freedom of movement within EU". He can also help you set up a business in Libya where he boasts of long years of success. Interesting.

Isabelle is rather young for such a role, she is just 22 years old. Perhaps her name is an administrative matter? We wonder if she is drawing an EU salary, and if so, who trousers it?

We note that Wolfman 'Failed London Mayoral Candidate' McGough has been showing increasing signs of mental derangement and instability. He has, of course, always been slightly unhinged but he appears to have got much worse over the last few weeks. McGough is now a man obsessed. And who are the subjects of this obsession? ....... None other than Greg Lance-Watkins and his wife.

The Wolfman has been sending thousands of emails to the couple every month. Hundreds are sent on a daily basis! Some messages state that McGough has been receiving strange phone calls from someone claiming to a 'homosexual former airline mogul with a knighthood'. See picture blow. Click on it for a clearer view. Another example of the McGough's mental breakdown?

Many of the emails ask why GLW is ignoring him. It reminds one of a lovesick teenager who can't accept that the object of his desire is just not interested. Indeed, many of the messages are addressed to 'Dearest Greg' and end with the words 'yours as ever'. So has the Wolfman reached a crisis point in his life? We hear that his marriage is less than perfect. Is he now so unsure of his sexuality that he sees GLW as a potential partner? McGough has even sometimes featured a picture of GLW as his avatar on the British Democracy Forum! Such is love! So when is the Wolfman going to come out of the closet?

Or does McGough swing both ways? Other emails carry love messages to Lee, GLW's wife, bearing the word 'babes' or 'Lee baby'. We wonder what McGough's wife thinks about this?

We would strongly advise the Wolfman to seek urgent mental health treatment before it's too late! And a what a damning indictment of UKIP's leadership that they allow this moronic individual to sit on UKIP's NEC, act as a spokesman for the party and stand as a candidate!

And don't forget that Gerard Batten is more than happy to use this man as his driver, bag carrier and mouthpiece. A man of integrity and commonsense wouldn't touch McGough with a bargepole! It's no wonder that members in London want Batten removed as their MEP!

Gerard Batten is currently under investigation by OLAF. He has also been reported to the police and Elcom. He has been accused of false accounting and failing to provide accurate record of his election expenses. He is also facing an industrial tribunal after a former staff member accused him of racism. UKIP Wales is currently being torn apart by infighting after it emerged that Nigel Farage and the odious Paul Nuttall had decided to ditch UKIP's opposition to devolution and embrace a policy that will result in the end of the UK. The EU will be pleased. So now UKIP's leadership is willing to make the EU's job easier by weakening our nation state!

That senior members of UKIP Wales were not consulted about the proposed changes comes as no surprise! And that 'Farage Sycophants 4 UKIP' blog - also known as 'Bloggers 4 UKIP' - has publicly attacked UKIP Wales members as 'fifth columnists' tells you all you need to know about who is really pulling their strings! And quite right too! How dare the ordinary members speak out against the ideas of the Glorious Fuhrer and his Deputy!

Here is a statement from UKIP Wales. It was made in response to the odious Nuttal's poorly written devolution policy:

The Devolution Settlement is a stupid mess. On that we can agree with Mr. Nuttall.

As for the rest of his proposal, we profoundly disagree both in sentiment and logic.

UKIP Wales has worked for 10 years on its policy to Abolish the Welsh Assembly and use Welsh Westminster MP’s to sort out Welsh issues One week a month would be set aside for this.

English MP’s would have English days for English issues.

The Welsh Assembly has 10 years of nonsense, waste and policy failure to its credit and is in trouble.

We are living in exciting times. Brussels and the Euro are about to self-destruct and the Devolved Assemblies are losing credibility fast.

It seems our Noble Cause is about to be won. Mr. Nuttall says that Scottish, Welsh and Irish devolution has weakened the Union.

Yet he says that English devolution will strengthen it. Far from strengthening it, we believe that an English Assembly would cause our Union to shatter. He has proposed a policy document from hell. We have been anticipating this kind of proposal for several years but expected it to come from Brussels or the Welsh or Scottish separatists.

For it to come from UKIP Central is a deeply disillusioning experience.

Even those who like Mr. Nuttall’s proposal must admit that it will frighten and upset a lot of people. Why do this? UKIP occupies the perfect position right now! You can’t improve on perfect, you can only go backwards.

So what is the point of “A Union for the Future”?

The English have, for many centuries, been very grown-up and patient on this subject.

They have put up with, we admit it, the slightly tiresome antics of the Celtic Fringe because it was worth it in the interest of the higher cause of UNITY. We believe the great majority of the English still feel this way passionately.

UKIP and the United Kingdom can, in effect, sit quietly and allow Victory to fall into our laps. We have won the arguments. Our enemies are in disarray. We see it in the newspapers and on the television every day.

There is just one danger left. “Ourselves.” It is still possible to snatch Defeat from the jaws of Victory. How ? By developing and promoting new, wildly radical plans to tear up the British Constitution.

Whatever you strive for in life, you must always be very clear about

“..The Aim..”

and don’t allow yourself to be distracted from it.

We put it to you that UKIP’s aim is, and always has been:-..

Long Live The United Kingdom !

UKIP Wales There are two Principles, which underlie everything that UKIP stands for...

One is the integrity of the UK, and the other is independence from the EU.

All policies must be judged in accordance with these principles.

The EU has long known that divide and conquer is the only way to create its Superstate. Under the EU’s stated plans, Britain is destined to be turned into 12 regions. After Labour came to power in 1997, the first of these devolved regional assemblies were created in Scotland, Wales, London and Northern Ireland.

UKIP Deputy Leader Paul Nuttall proposes that by breaking the UK into 5 Regions (London, England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland) and creating an English devolved Parliament, this will be a victory for UKIP, which will thwart the EU’s ambitions.

This is not the case.

It would, in fact, complete the next phase of Brussels’ plan to break up the UK.

Brussels always works on the ratchet principle. The next move by the EU would be to foment dissatisfaction in the North of England using present financial difficulties and to promote a split between North and South.

Following that they would revive the ‘Regions of England proposal’ which failed last time. Then they would exploit any problems by installing unelected puppet regimes as they have just done in Greece and Italy.

The separatists in Wales also work on the same ratchet principle. Having just achieved more power in a biased referendum they are already asking for further powers. The lesson of history is that appeasement never works; it just leads to more demands.

Up until March of 2011, UKIP was the only mainstream political party that opposed the EU’s Regionalisation Plan for the UK.

The Party is now asking the membership if this should still be the case or if we should accept and push for separate devolved governments in the UK.

As a party, we are made up of people from all of the United Kingdom coming from many political backgrounds.

To adopt a policy that will be divisive, at the exact moment when we must be unified is folly. The EU is teetering on the brink, and diverting our efforts from our ultimate aim is madness. Britain leaving the EU is our aim, and dabbling in policies that will polarise the membership is an error of judgment.

Unless you live under one of the devolved governments, you probably are not aware of the existing UKIP policy to address devolution.

The question we are asking, is:

“What was wrong with the existing policy?”

This is set out on the following page.

It does not pander to any other pressure groups. Paul Nuttall’s proposal was co-written by Eddie Bone and Scilla Cullen who are members of the Campaign for an English Parliament.

The existing policy is simple. It will not cost any more money but will save money - less politicians to pay. The civil service is already in place, and the MPs are already elected and paid to do their jobs.

It does not tamper with a formula that has worked for hundreds of years, and it addresses the injustices that some in England feel with the current state of affairs.

How it would work MPs are elected by first past the post in the same way and from constituencies that currently exist.

For three weeks each month MPs would meet in Westminster, as at present, to debate and vote on British matters (non devolved).

On the fourth week, the English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish MPs would meet in their home capital cities to deal with devolved matters.

There would be no further devolution of powers.

We would however lose the additional layer of politicians as the MPs would now do the job of MSPs, AMs and MLAs.

Purely English matters would be dealt with in England solely by English MPs.

Upper Chamber..

Every legislative body needs scrutiny otherwise poorly drafted and bad laws will result.

The House of Lords needs reform, not abolition.

English MPs.. Scottish MPs.. Welsh MPs.. Northern Ireland MPs.

British Parliament.

MPs elected from all of the UK Constituencies meet for 3 weeks of the month in Westminster.

United We Stand.

Union for the Future.

Opposes the EUs Regionalisation Policy.

Will not distract us from getting out of the EU.

Answers the West Lothian Question without breaking up the UK.

No extra politicians/buildings/bureaucrats.

Maintains historic role of Parliament & MPs.

How Do They Compare?

Conclusion:

We believe passionately in the Union of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This Union has brought enormous benefits to us and to the wider world. Our proposal is not regionalisation. It does not create new bodies or pander to separatist nationalists.

This is our answer to the West Lothian question, and the only way to preserve the Union.

We believe the membership of UKIP need to discuss this crucial policy at a “Constitutional Conference”, where the true feeling of the membership can be expressed.

“A Union for the Future” has the possibility of being very divisive for the Party.

UKIP: Is the EFD big enough for two messiahs?

Contrarianism is basically a negative approach to life, and one often associated with the ill-informed and the disenfranchised. Contrarians often also tend towards conspiracy theories in their vain attempts to fill the gaps in their knowledge and understanding of the world that revolves around, but seemingly without, them.

Magdi Allam is a contrarian, but he falls into a different category. His contrarianism is actually similar to that displayed most often by the loony-left, a loathing of one's own identity. It's where the SWP came from, and it explains why middle class white kids sport dreadlocks and deface war memorials.

Allam is an Egyptian Muslim, who turned against his own culture in 2008 when he converted to Catholicism. He now majors on calling for a ban on building mosques, and expresses strong support for Israel. He claims that he has been targeted by Hamas since 2003.

The Catholic church in Spain has questioned his conversion, and there have been strong concerns raised about some of the 'extremist' nature of some of his comments, whilst some have raised suspicions that his conversion was more to do with his political ambitions.

When he converted, Allam, who is now an Italian MEP, adopted the name Cristiano. Perhaps he has Messianic ambitions? Well, if so he is in good company, because he has just joined Nigel Farage's EFD group in the European Parliament.

Conspiracy theories, instinctive contrarianism, and anti-Islamism - Allam is in the right place. But is the EFD big enough for two messiahs?

My former co-editor is less than charitable about the failure of UKIP to displace the Lib-dims and come away with third place in the Feltham and Heston by-election. Forum members here also question UKIP's abilities, if it cannot even motivate enough people to vote for it under the current circumstances.

When UKIP itself admits, according to diverse media sources, to losing out to The Boy's pretend veto, and we see the party's less then sure response to it, it is time to ask whether continued support is a waste of time and energy, as it repeatedly fails to register beyond the euro-elections.

We have long asserted that the main problem with UKIP is its lack of intellectual base, having observed that all successful revolutionary parties in the past have always gone through the motions of producing a intellectual "credo", sufficient to unite and motivate its members, and attract popular support.

The lack is very obvious when you think that there are no end of discussion on the nature and meaning of conservatism, of socialism, and on the "liberal" ideology – but no one would think to ask: "what is UKIPism". It simply does not exist, other than in a negative sense, a campaign uniting some of those who want the UK to leave the UK.

After all these years, however, we have failed to impress on the party that you cannot create a mass movement on the back of a negative. It is unlikely that anyone who had started a campaign in the past to leave the Austro-Hungarian Empire would have had any more success than UKIP is having now.

Yet, now has never been a better time to sell the eurosceptic (i.e., leaving the EU) message, and it would be a criminal dereliction to allow the Tory europlastics to grab the high ground and exploit anti-EU sentiment for their own electoral gain.

To that effect, I recall in 1999 (I think it was then, but I am happy to be corrected) attending a series of quo vadis meetings, to discuss the way forward.

Nothing long-term came of them – and we are perhaps seeing the result. So it maybe time to repeat the experiment and gather together interested parties to see whether there is a common, positive ideology that could unite us all, and provide a standard around which the disaffected of this nation can muster.

It is early days yet, but maybe we should be looking at the New Year, pulling together some of the leading eurosceptic activists, in public meetings, to see what comes of another series of quo vadis meetings. Whatever else, we cannot continue like this. We need to win … and that we are not doing.

I am fed up with being on the losing side.

It was all so predictable. Farage's useful idiots pick a joke candidate who likes to call himself 'Dr Earth'. Farage and his cronies visit the constituency, hold meetings and claim that UKIP is surging ahead in the polls. Voters are told that UKIP is set to replace the Lib Dems as Britain's third party.

"It has always been our intention to make UKIP the 'third party' in British politics and these poll results certainly suggest that we are heading in the right direction."

"We've made such fantastic inroads in Feltham & Heston so far in this short campaign, now we need to firm up that support and continue to spread the message," he said.

"After the events in Europe this week, it's clear that the real debate about Britain's continued membership of the EU is still to begin and UKIP's message is central to that, so people are listening.

"We have a great candidate in Andrew Charalambous and a tremendous team co-ordinating the campaign, now we need more feet on the streets to help them."

Leaflets are distributed and Farage basks in the adulation of his sycophants. He tells them that UKIP is on the way to Westminster.........

And then the eager party faithful gather for the result. UKIPPERS are visibly shocked to hear that they have been knocked into fourth place by the Lib Dems. And this was DESPITE Farage's assurances that Clegg's party was going to be humiliated by UKIP.

UKIP scored a pathetic 5.49% on the day. And Labour's vote went up! And yet Farage's useful idiots still try to spin a terrible result.
"It is becoming increasingly clear that UKIP is a refreshing alternative to the tired old status quo. The Lib Dems are almost a busted flush. People are turning to UKIP as they realise we are serious when it comes to putting Britain first." From the official UKIP website.

We hardly think that Cameron or Clegg will be too concerned by such claptrap. UKIP has been in existence for 17 years and yet they have still failed to get a single person election to Westminster in all that time. And let's not forget that their councillors (elected as UKIP) could fit in a small village hall!

UKIP exists solely as the means for Farage and his sycophants to get elected to the EU Gravy Train. Nothing more, nothing less. UKIP is the Nigel Farage Party.

Matteo Salvini is the Lega Nord MEP who notoriously called for racial segregation on Milanese public transport. Like most separatists he is an avowed Europhile - his party is calling for regional autonomy, and the EU is quite keen on that sort of thing as it likes the idea of weakening existing states. Lega Nord have one slight problem, the region thay seek autonomy for, Padania, exists mainly in their own minds. Historically, it was a little used alternative name for the Po Valley until Lega Nord adopted the name for a general swathe of Northern Italy.

These dubious people, many of whom have convictions for racially motivated offences, including violence and child abuse, sit in the EFD group alongside UKIP. Indeed, their leader is a co-president alongside Nigel Farage.

Salvini is now calling in the European Parliament for harmonised customs legislation, and even for the formation of an EU Customs Agency.

London Assembly List ballot

It has been brought to our attention that there are some flaws in the balloting process currently underway to gauge Members' preferences regarding the London Assembly candidate list.

The NEC has decided that we need to take remedial action, so:

• We will be immediately re-running the ballot of London Members, with added security on the ballot papers. This will happen as soon as the new ballot papers can be printed (next week).

• We will be re-editing the candidates' 150-word declarations, to ensure that no significant content or meaning is lost.

• We will be adding a reply-paid envelope to improve turnout, and will ensure that members have sufficient time to vote; though it would be appreciated if members would return their ballot papers quickly, to account for the delays in Christmas post.

In every other respect, the process will be as previously described. The results of the members' ballot will be provided to the NEC who will approve and publish the final list.

I apologise for the shortcomings of the first ballot. In our haste to get the London List resolved, and with the sudden arrival of the Feltham & Heston by-election, we have not performed as well as we should.

UKIP: Peter Reeve still working for David Bannerman and the Tories

Readers of this blog will remember that Peter Reeve had a bust up with Stuart Gulleford (UKIP Chelmsford Office) after it emerged that Reeve was listed as a researcher in a Tory publication written by David Bannerman, the former UKIP MEP. LINK. It was later claimed that this was nothing than a 'courtesy acknowledgement' as much of the research had been carried out by Reeve while Bannerman was still in UKIP. This was a lie. We can confirm that Peter Reeve - UKIP regional organiser, UKIP councillor and boyfriend of Lisa 'Needs a Wash' Duffy - is STILL employed by Bannerman as a researcher.

A quick look at Bannerman's entry on the official EU website reveals that Reeve, Peter David is listed as one of his assistants. Click HERE to read it.

We wonder just how Mr Reeve's UKIP colleagues will react to this news? Bannerman is rightly regarded by UKIPPERS as a traitor and turncoat after he left the party to rejoin the Tories. Bannerman, in retaliation, has attacked the party as being nothing more than a pressure group. He also attacked Farage's leadership LINK and LINK.

So Peter Reeve - a paid employee of UKIP - is also more than happy to work for a man who betrayed the entire membership of UKIP.

So Peter Reeve is more than happy to be listed as an assistant to the Tory MEP on the EU website. And this is despite his condemning the Tories as a"party that should be thrown out of government".

But should we be that surprised at Reeve's hypocrisy? Like Bannerman, the man is motivated by greed and ego. Integrity and honesty are alien words to such men. Remember how Bannerman once described the Tories?

And don't forget how Bannerman attacked the Tories in a CIB newspaper. LINK. How ironic that it was published at the same time as Bannerman's defection to the Tories!

And we are not surprised that Bannerman is keen to keep Reeve close to him. Reeve has enough dirt on Bannerman to finish his career. Remember that OLAF investigation? See below.

We can confirm that Mr Reeve will have some serious explaining to do! One senior UKIPPER has already expressed concerns over the security implications. Just what information on UKIP could Reeve be passing on to his Tory boss? And just what information on UKIP is being passed to the Tories via Reeve?

David Bannerman, Peter Reeve and Stuart Agnew are currently under investigation by OLAF after Stuart Agnew MEP admitted to a Times reporter that both he and Bannerman were illegally paying Reeve out of their EU allowances. LINK

Here is the video where he admits their dishonesty. Agnew can be heard on the video admitting that Reeve does no work for them, and that he is knowingly acting illegally:

“I can tell you that Peter is paid partly by me out of my assistance allowance here partly by David Bannerman . He does very little work for us, virtually none. He is working for the party. And that’s strictly illegal.”

Salaries paid via MEPs’ assistance allowance must not fund party work.

UKIP: Gerard Batten reported to Metropolitan Police

Gerard Batten is far from having a happy time at the moment! Our readers will recall that a former member of his staff has taken the MEP to an industrial tribunal following allegations of racism. LINK

It has since emerged that Batten is now the subject of a police investigation - 6567497/11 - after serious allegations were made to officers about the London MEP. Batten is accused of making racist and anti-Islamic comments in the presence of staff members.

Gerard Batten is also the subject of an OLAF investigation - OF/2011/10/17. This involves allegations that he misused EU allowances. LINK

Could it get any worse than this? It appears so! Gerard has also been reported to the Electoral Commission after concerns were raised about his recent election expenses!

We understand that certain details regarding Mick 'Wolfman' McGough are of some interest to some of the organisations mentioned above. McGough has been signing off Batten's accounts.

Batten intends to stand again as UKIP's London MEP. We would urge all UKIPPERS in the London region to reject him. We need a person of vision and drive in London. We need a person who will put Country before Self. We need a person untainted by allegations of corruption, dishonesty and nepotism. That is why we can't support Gerard Batten in his bid to seek a third term in office. LINK

UKIP: An independent view of Nigel Farage

A very interesting independent analysis of what's wrong with UKIP. Written by a 33 year old after watching a selection of Farage's speeches on the Internet.

Farage clearly has a facility for theatre and oratory, but so do most well trained actors. The political role that Farage holds is the easiest role for a good orator to deliver. He will never be in government so won't ever have to take responsibility for actually implementing any of his policies (a privileged position that I bet the Lib Dems wish they could return to!), he is only standing on one issue - Europe (although obviously a multifaceted and complex issue), he does not need to build bridges with any of the political class in Europe and can therefore bark from the sidelines without any damage to his political position.

Also, it is always easier to sound convincing when speaking against a topic than it is to defending a topic, which is why many unintelligent people enjoy complaining and holding cynical views, as it's a cheap way of making those views sound more important than they actually are. This is also why defence lawyers are more respected and are paid more then prosecution lawyers, because their role is a more complex.

In short, Farage's role in the European parliament is an orator's *** *****. He can just stand up and let rip with pre rehearsed rhetorical speeches, particularly in the current climate, where his opponent, the EU, is on its knees and looking like a joke. I'd love to have a go at that! What a luxury to be able to look world leaders in the face, Merkel, Sarcozy, Blair, Brown etc. and be allowed to rant at them for five uninterrupted minutes at a time. You could charge 100k a minute to be able to do that!

UKIP: Lord Pearson's European Union Membership (Economic Implications) Bill passes 2nd reading

Lord Pearson was dishonest, corrupt and incompetent as UKIP's political chief. To be fair, he eventually admitted that he was hopeless at party politics and quickly resigned as UKIP's leader. See: LINK. But Pearson is to be congratulated for his work on this Bill. We will watch it's progress with interest.

Lord Pearson of Rannoch: My Lords, I am truly grateful to all noble Lords who are to speak today. This is not the first time that your Lordships have debated this or a similar Bill at Second Reading. We did so last some four and a half years ago, on 8 June 2007, and we had similar debates on 11 February 2004, 27 June 2003 and 17 March 2000. The series would not be complete without mentioning 31 January 1997, when your Lordships’ House voted at Second Reading for a Bill that would have taken us out of the European Union altogether.

For more than 30 years, our political class has done its best not to talk about our membership of the EU. But the wheel of history turns and the question as to whether we should leave the European Union is now firmly back on the national agenda. But this Bill does not deal with that question—it is an altogether milder and more innocent little creature. It merely requires the Chancellor of the Exchequer to set up an impartial inquiry into the economic costs and benefits arising from our membership of the EU.

UKIP: OLAF and the further woes of Gerard Batten

We were amused to note that Gerard was far from happy when he was told that our blogs had publicised this painful fact. Indeed, he has even attempted to silence us via the courts after he argued that the case was sub judice!

We were also amused to note that Batten has been employing failed mayoral candidate, Mick 'Wolfman' McGough, as his driver and bag carrier! But we suppose that someone has to employ the idiot. It's just a pity that the British taxpayer is doing it via the EU!

We hear that Gerard is now the subject of an OLAF investigation - OF/2011/10/17 - involving allegations of false accounting, fraud, nepotism and abuse. We understand that some of these concerns regard printing contracts given to Batten's brother. Please note that McGough has been signing off Batten's accounts. That would explain a lot! UKIP: Mike Nattrass

An article (print headline: “MEP in fraud inquiry”; online headline: “UKIP MEP Michael Nattrass in expenses fraud inquiry”, November 15 2009) reported an investigation by a European Union watchdog into whether Mike Nattrass MEP had used public funds intended for the payment of parliamentary aides to pay a UK Independence party regional organiser.

That investigation has been completed with no action taken against Mr Nattrass. The article also stated that payments were channelled through the firm Nattrass Giles Limited. We were not suggesting the company was part of, or merited, any investigation and are happy to clarify the position.

UKIP: Nigel Farage & the EFD Borghezio-Speroni Scandal

Readers of this blog will be aware that both Borghezio and Speroni - EFD colleagues and friends of Nigel Farage - both openly praised Norwegian mass murderer, Anders Breivik.

Borghezio went on record as stating that “One hundred per cent of Breivik’s ideas are good, in some cases extremely good. The positions of Breivik reflect the views of those movements across Europe which are winning elections.”.

Speroni also praised Breivik as having ideas that "defended European culture. See: LINK & LINK & LINK

Nigel Farage's claimed that Borghezio had been suspended from the EFD for 3 months because of his comments. This later proved to be a lie. That Farage is more than happy to sit with men who can praise the murderer of children speaks volumes! LINK

Barboo has written very eloquently on here about the way Nigel Farage has handled the outrage over the remarks about the Breivik atrocities by the Northern League's Mario Borghezio and Francesco Speroni. According to a report in the Italian media (link here: Euroscettici inglesi contro Borghezio - ATTUALITA ) matters were supposed to come to a head during the week of 24-27 October. Here is a translation of the report:

British Eurosceptics against Borghezio

Call for Northern League’s expulsion from the European Group EFD.

Inside or outside. The fate of the Northern League MEP from Piedmont, Mario Borghezio; by the end of October, the party must decide what to do.

Keep him in or put him out of the EFD Group, Europe of Freedom and Democracy? Clamouring for his head are the British eurosceptic UKIP, prime force of the group, tired of the 'performance' of Borghezio and, more particularly, much annoyed by his statements on the killer of Oslo, Breivik, which had also provoked his suspension from the Northern League. For those words Borghezio has been suspended by the League and also, on September 13 last, the EFD, but a yellow card is not enough, they want him to be expelled.

"UKIP", reads a letter sent to their Italian colleagues, “calls on the Northern League to ask Borghezio to leave the EFD Group and go non-attached before the end of the legislature."

The decision will be made during the plenary session of October 24 to 27. "The UKIP delegation UKIP," said its leader Nigel Farage, is "very, very unhappy about Borghezio."

BETWEEN UFOs AND BURNED CLOTHES
The letter cited the MEP’s interests in "UFOs and the Bilderberg Group" and his act of "burning the clothes of immigrant children." But the straw that broke UKIP was "his comments and his timing about the Norwegian murderer Breivik" that "exceeded all bounds." Borghezio is accused of damaging the "reputation of other members of the group" with words that "will be used" against them "in the European elections of 2014."

THE DECISION OF THE LEAGUE
Now the ball is in the Northern League’s court, because Borghezio has no intention of taking a step back. "Just think, if I resign," he says by phone from the U.S. "I had a vote of 50 000 Padanians to represent the people proudly in Europe." For him the case was closed with an apology to the Norwegian ambassador in Italy, but not for the British, while the Leaguist Francesco Speroni, EFD co-leader, tries to pour water on the fire. "It is not yet closed, but neither is it said that you get to the most extreme solution." That is, the expulsion of Borghezio.

THE STATUTE OF THE WAR CHARIOT
According to statute, this (expulsion of a member) is decided by the affirmative vote of two thirds of the members. Speroni’s impression is that “from rumours, I do not think that there are the numbers, but if they all agree, the League will not have enough to save it (8 out of 27, Borghezio not voting - ed)."

Saving Borghezio means not to continue living with British colleagues. "If they insist," Speroni affirms constantly, “the group ends; it goes if just four jump from the EFD." In short, a delicate situation that, as UKIP asks, must be decided by the League. "But this would be a decision to be taken higher than me," admits Speroni, meaning the League’s party headquarters in Milan’s Via Bellerio.

So, it appears quite clearly from this report that Farage was to have been presented with a straight choice on the week of 24-27 October - Borghezio's expulsion or the EFD's survival. Principles or presidential position. His co-president, Mad Frankie Speroni, was telling him bluntly that he couldn't have both. Three weeks later, a look at the European Parliament's website shows that the EFD still exists and that Lega Nord MEPs, including Borghezio, are still being listed as part of it.

Farage and the rest of the UKIP MEPs appear to have kept very quiet about all of this, which is remarkable, because if the above report is accurate (and, as Speroni is quoted at length in it, there is plenty of evidence that it is), then the much-debated EFD faced nothing short of an existential crisis and, moreover, Farage was on the face of it making a great point of principle over Borghezio's future in the group. But since the whole furore over Borghezio and Speroni's comments first erupted, we have seen several examples of Farage huffing and puffing about it, only to do very little, if anything at all, when it comes to the crunch. Mad Frankie Speroni's own comments, for example, were initially condemned, alongside demands for apologies and retractions, and then quickly and entirely forgotten.

Another pattern one can glean is that Farage has been quite sly about making threats that are either unrealistic or else are not what they initially seem. For example, his initial threat was that UKIP MEPs would suspend their membership of the EFD if no apologies and retractions were forthcoming from Speroni and Borghezio. But that was never going to happen, a) because examination of the EFD Group's statutes show that there is no mechanism for voluntary suspension of membership and b) because, of course, if UKIP MEPs had nonetheless left the group, however temporarily, the EFD's membership would have dropped way below the required minimum and it would have collapsed immediately.

Now one might possibly detect another "all is not what it seems moment". The clue is in Farage's most peculiar demand that the Lega Nord asks Borghezio "to leave the EFD Group and go non-attached before the end of the legislature." That gives the League until June 2014! If that is correct, they are Farage's most weasel words yet on the shabby affair. Perhaps Speroni has quietly promised that Borghezio will leave the EFD quietly near the end of parliament, when it will not greatly matter, and Farage has in return promised to drop the whole issue, content in the knowledge that he can whip out the above mentioned letter at any moment, should any more inconvenient publicity arise.

In any event, one thing is clear - Borghezio is still in the EFD Group. So just what did happen on 24-27 October, or at any other time subsequent to the above media report? We should be told.

And this...

Well, we now have the answer to the question. Sadly, the answer is YES - Farage DID put the survival of the EFD ahead of principle.

EFD had suspended sentence after the Oslo massacre

BRUSSELS – A three-month ban discounted, Mario Borghezio is officially reinstated in the EFD Group, Europe of Freedom and Democracy. The penalty was taken in the summer for the statements of the Piedmont MEP about the instigator of the Oslo massacre, Anders Breivik. Borghezio said he considered his ideas “good” and “shared” them, but then, also considering the controversy, apologised to the Norwegian Ambassador to Italy. For those expressions, Borghezio was suspended by the league and then, in parallel, from the Northern League team in Europe.

On 13 September the British eurosceptic UKIP, the largest party of the EFD, had also sent an ultimatum to League colleagues asking openly for Borghezio’s resignation from the group. 'His presence was considered “too high a price to pay'' and a weapon that the British press could use against UKIP “in the 2014 European elections''. But the threats were revoked this week, because the resignation or expulsion of Borghezio would put at risk the survival of the group, just two deputies over the minimum threshold of 25 members.

As I said in opening this thread, Farage had a straight choice - "Borghezio's expulsion or the EFD's survival. Principles or presidential position". He has taken the selfish and cowardly options. His various outpourings of fake disgust and feigned outrage at Borghezio's statements have proved to be not worth the paper they were written on. He has managed to be spectacularly stupid, too, because, having long brushed off or denied allegations that he was sitting with extremists in the EFD Group, he has committed to paper an admission of previous acts by Borghezio, such as setting fire to the clothes of immigrant children, and yet he has signalled that despite such criminal and extremist acts he is still prepared to sit in the same group as Borghezio, indeed to be president of that group.

The other damning point to emerge from Farage's weasel-worded letter to Speroni is this - Farage has admitted in writing that he recognises that Borghezio's continued presence in the EFD could be used by the press against UKIP in 2014, and yet ultimately he is not prepared to do anything about it. Ultimately, he is even prepared to knowingly imperil the party's election prospects if they come between him and his precious group of extremists and pro-Europeans. The message is that Farage values his position as EFD President above his responsibilities as UKIP leader.

In cowardly fashion, Farage threw the ball into the Lega Nord's court, surely knowing that two Padanian fingers would be the only response. But the power to do something remains in Farage's own hands. In the immediate aftermath of Borghezio and Speroni's foul remarks about the Norwegian atrocities, he was quite unequivocal about both Lega Nord MEPs. "I have written to the leadership of the Northern League party to demand an immediate full retraction and apology", said Farage on the UKIP website. "If my request is not met, then we will suspend our membership of the EFD group." Four months later, there has been no full retraction from either Borghezio or Speroni, but both of them remain in the EFD Group, UKIP MEPs remain in the EFD Group, and Mad Frankie Speroni even continues to be EFD Co-President alongside Farage. Indeed, Speroni's part in this scandal was forgotten by Farage within days and all attention, such as it was, was focussed on Borghezio. As soon as it became clear that Farage's call for "immediate" retractions was just bluster, Speroni was able to laugh in the face of any further idle threats that followed from his co-president over the ensuing months.

As the EU descends into chaos and imposes its unelected "prime ministers" on previously democratic member states in ever more desperate attempts to avert the crisis, and while Cameron, Clegg and Miliband gaze on cluelessly, the people of Britain are crying out for real leaders. Real tests of leadership are not about who can fire easy shots on YouTube. The Borghezio-Speroni Scandal was a true test of moral and political leadership and Farage comprehensively bottled it. It called for a man, and Farage has shown he is a mouse.

And here are Barboo's comments on the same subject:

Speroni was directly quoted by the Guardian, saying: "Breivik's ideas are in defence of western civilisation", and "I'm with Borghezio. I don't think he should resign. If [Breivik's] ideas are that we are going towards Eurabia and those sorts of things, that western Christian civilisation needs to be defended, yes, I'm in agreement".

In a statement on 28 July, UKIP said Nigel Farage had contacted Speroni, his EFD co-president, "to demand an immediate retraction and apology following his remarks and those of his fellow Northern League MEP Mario Borghezio . . . . If no retraction is forthcoming then UKIP will suspend its membership of the EFD group in which it sits alongside the Italian political party".

On 29 July, UKIP's follow up statement said Speroni had written to Farage saying that he condemns the massacre and the extreme fundamentalism in question - an addition to his earlier remarks.

Has Speroni withdrawn the statements he made in support of Borghezio?

No, he has not.

Has Speroni retracted his agreement with Breivik's ideas?

No, he has not.

Has Speroni apologised?

No, he has not.

Has Nigel Farage suspended UKIP MEPs' membership of the EFD as he said he would?

Apparently not. It seems Borghezio has been suspended by his party and UKIP says it is satisfied that this "will send a clear message that they, and we will not have any truck with such disgraceful sentiments now or in the future". Farage is convening the EFD next week to suspend Borghezio from the group.

So that's it. The book thrown at Borghezio; Speroni quietly forgotten. UKIP can trumpet that Farage has taken "prompt action", and the EFD can survive with the temporary loss of one Italian.

Note that Farage's demands for "an immediate retraction and apology" from Speroni are for home consumption only. The EFD's website doesn't mention them, or the threat to suspend UKIP MEPs' membership of the group.

And....

An interesting aspect of this is that one of those who has condemned Borghezio's comments, calling them "terrible, unspeakable remarks", is the Lega Nord MP and cabinet minister Roberto Calderoli, the man indirectly responsible for UKIP MEPs and their allies expelling the Lega Nord from their previous Independence & Democracy group.

Calderoli was not even an MEP, yet in 2006 his party was expelled from the Ind/Dem following his provocative comments and TV appearance wearing a T-shirt bearing a copy of one of the Danish Muslim cartoons.

There has been no talk of expelling Speroni and Borghezio, whose comments have caused the current outrage; only of UKIP MEPs 'suspending' their EFD membership.

And it looks like Farage is welching on even that!

He gave Speroni an ultimatum - make an immediate full retraction and apologise, or we suspend our membership of the group.

Speroni has done neither. He's stuck two metaphorical fingers up at UKIP's leader and Farage has backed down, talking now of convening the EFD Bureau to suspend Borghezio instead.

He wouldn't need to run to the Bureau for consent if he'd kept his word and suspended UKIP's membership. He could have done that all by himself!

And finally .....

At the end of July, following the mass murder of young Norwegians by Anders Behring Breivik, UKIP issued two statements regarding comments made by their MEPs' EFD colleagues Mario Borghezio and Francesco Speroni.

On 28 July, UKIP wrote: "Nigel Farage said: "I have written to the leadership of the Northern League party to demand an immediate full retraction and apology. If my request is not met, then we will suspend our membership of the EFD group".

A clear and unequivocal undertaking.

On 29 July, following Speroni's reply, UKIP wrote: "Mr Farage is convening the governing Bureau of the EFD Group in the European Parliament next week in order to suspend Mr Borghezio from his membership of the group".

Another clear and unequivocal undertaking, yet if Borghezio had retracted and apologised as Farage demanded, why was he to be suspended? And if he had not retracted and apologised, Farage (having suspended UKIP MEPs from the group as stated on July 28), would not then be in a position to convene the Bureau and suspend Borghezio.

So where is the retraction and apology, and on what date and with what outcome was the Bureau convened?

Because despite UKIP's statements and Nigel Farage's assurance, UKIP MEPs are still sitting and voting in the European parliament with their EFD colleagues Speroni and Borghezio. See Roll-call votes, Busuttil Report, 13.9.2011

UKIP surge in the Polls?

A lot of nonsense has been written about Nigel Farage recently. We had Alex Singleton comparing him to Gandhi (LINK). And we had the Telegraph's Peter Oborne claiming that Farage is a "jolly chap" who "occasionally gets into minor trouble". So financial irregularities, public drunkenness, consorting with prostitutes, refusing to provide audits of your accounts, conducting smear campaigns against Nikki Sinclaire and being accused by Mike Nattrass, one of his own MEPs, as having the morals of "Alley Cat" are clearly of no concern to Mr Oborne!

Mr Oborne claims that UKIP, according to a poll, are now ahead of the Lib Dems. He states:

"I believe that Ukip is about to take over from the Lib Dems as Britain’s third largest political party".

We suggest that Mr Oborne takes a look at recent by-elections before making such rash statements. It may prevent him from looking more foolish than he already is!

As you can see, the facts are somewhat different! UKIP is still trailing behind the Lib Dems. So much for becoming Britain's third party. And so much for Oborne's claim that:

It was left to The Independent to provide a more realistic account of UKIP's electoral failure:

"Despite the eurozone's woes there was little sign of a surge by Ukip which fought four of the five contests declared so far". LINK

Nigel Farage: The new Gandhi?

Nigel Farage: A drunkard and a fool. And it certainly shows!

Much nonsense has been written recently about the so-called surge in popularity of UKIP in the polls (more on this tomorrow). One writer - Alex Singleton - even made the ludicrous claim that Nigel Farage was the new Gandhi! We suggest that Mr Singleton does a little bit more research into Farage's background and real motivations before insulting the dead by comparing them to a degenerate. It may even prevent Mr Singleton from looking foolish in the future.

What has poor Gandhi ever done to deserve such an insult? Gandhi was motivated by a desire to see his people freed from British rule. He was a humble man, a person who did not seek riches or glory for himself. He also hated sycophancy and deplored racism. To compare this man with Farage is frankly insulting to both the Indian leader and the Indian people.

Farage is motivated solely by ego and wealth. He has claimed millions in expenses since becoming an MEP and has amassed a fortune, most of which is safely placed in his Isle of Man back account. He STILL refuses to publish a full audit of his accounts. This is despite numerous promises to do so. And why does he still refuse to explain what happened to the £211,000 that 'vanished' from UKIP's South East accounts? A similar amount was later paid into his Isle of Man account. Coincidence?

Farage surrounds himself with sycophants, drunkards and liars. Any criticism of his 'leadership' is met with smears against the critic. And exactly the same thing happens when new talent emerges in the party. Farage's deep-seated insecurity just won't allow it. They are either forced out of the party or kicked out on trumped up charges of 'disloyalty'. Look what happened to Nikki Sinclaire! However, Farage always gets others to do his dirty work as he lacks the courage to face his party critics in open debate.

Farage openly sits with racist MEPs in the EFD group, including those who have praised the Norwegian mass murderer, Anders Behring Breivik. See: LINK.

He has the morals of a Alley Cat - the words of Mike Nattrass, UKIP MEP - and thinks nothing of cheating on his wife with Annabelle Fuller and various other assorted 'alley cats'. See: LINK.

This is what Richard North, his former researcher, had to say about his time with the UKIP leader:

"I am not and was not prepared to be a bag-carrier. Nor would I fetch and carry for Farage, or write his letters, or be available to pour him into a taxi when he was so blind drunk that he could no longer stand, or cover for him when he failed to turn up for morning appointments because he had been out on the tiles all night long. I am almost old enough to be his father, but I am not in the business of being his nanny. I am a professional researcher and that, in my mind, was what I was employed to do."

We could go on but to compile a complete list fully illustrating Farage's dishonesty, lack of ethics and greed would be endless!

Farage is just another example of the worst in British politics - a man without integrity or honour. His 'euro-scepticism 'is nothing more than a cynical ploy in order to stay on the EU Gravy Train at the British taxpayer's expense. Farage is now an extremely wealthy man thanks to his career as a UKIP MEP. And yet in all his years as an MEP he has given virtually nothing to UKIP in the way of donations. Hardly the actions of a man committed to leaving the EU! Farage went 'native' years ago.

Richard North on the ignorance of Nigel Farage

We are pleased to see that Richard North is back blogging after his recent heart operation. Here's to a speedy recovery!

Here is one of Richard's recent posts. It concerns the EU and Nigel Farage:

Maybe it is just post-operative blues, but I'm struggling to get back into the frame, with the news agenda lacking any apparent coherence. We are seeing much the same EU stories as before, nothing has been resolved and the UK political position is no further forward.

I am grateful, therefore, to Witterings from Witney, for picking up a comment of mine on the Norwegian situation, brought up by Cameron in his Lord Mayor's Banquet speech, and supposedly rebutted by Farage.

This affords me an opportunity to display some irritation (hey! I'm entitled occasionally) at the limitations of our "own" side. For, while one expects nothing of Cameron – or any of the other Tories who seem impervious to knowledge on the EU – one would hope that our own would take the time to find out something of the organisation of which they speak.

In the case of Norway, this is quite important, as the situation is deemed to be a weak point in the eurosceptic armoury. Even outside the EU, it is held, Britain would have to adopt common trading law, as does Norway but, unlike currently, we would lose any influence in its framing, having thus to adopt in the manner of Norway, laws sent to us by fax from Brussels - the so-called "fax law" option.

Bizarrely, Farage concedes this point, although it is not true and can easily be demolished. We have rehearsed it many times and wrote a definitive piece in May 2008, pointing out the actual situation. Most of these laws are not agreed by the EU at all, but by intergovernmental bodies such as UNECE, of which Norway (and the UK) is a member. The legislation is then processed by the EU commission acting in more of a bureaucratic than legislative role.

In other pieces, such as this, I have pointed out that there are dozens of UNECE-type bodies, which would also continue in place even if we left the EU, and through which we would continue to agree international standards, to which EU members would also be bound. Outside the EU, therefore, we would have just as much influence over single market-type law, adopted by EU members.

The down-side, of course, is that leaving the EU would actually provide less relief from petty regulation than we might imagine, although we could disapply much of it from the domestic market.

This though, is core knowledge which should be shaping the debate. But, tediously, one of the leading players continues to do nothing other than display his ignorance, having never troubled to expand his knowledge-set beyond the basic minimum.

And this is why UKIP risks being left at the starting gate, should we come to a real debate about the mechanics of leaving the EU. The Party has no more to offer than the Tories, and that is perilously little.

One sees, for instance, the halt and the lame in that direction, talking blithely about which powers to repatriate and how they would go about reclaiming them, demonstrating absolutely no practical understanding of the complexities involved.

Strangely, of all the policies at present managed by the EU, the first we should claw back is the research programme. This is quite simply because, to repatriate powers, we must replace policies – otherwise there is no point in so doing. And those that are aware of the processes will be aware that a huge amount of policy development (a complex, expensive and time-consuming process) is funded under the research programme.

Thus, is order to reclaim powers, we must develop new policies and, to do that, we must reclaim the policy-making tools.

And so do we need coherence in the debate. Leaving the EU is eminently practicable, possible and necessary, but only if we are able to offer a credible and realistic pathway. To its shame, the eurosceptic community has yet to deliver on this and, when we hear the likes of Farage parade his ignorance, we wonder how longer we are going to have to wait.

UKIP: Steve Allison resigns

Readers of this blog may recall that Steve Allison - NEC member and Party Vice-Chairman - was fast becoming disillusioned with the so-called leadership of UKIP. His realization that the NEC was nothing more than a rubber stamp for a corrupt leader ultimately led to him questioning why he was wasting his time attending the monthly NEC meetings. As you can imagine, his outspoken views on the NEC and Lisa Duffy hardly endeared him to Farage and his nodding donkeys. Criticism of the Fuhrer can only result in the critic being sidelined, smeared and ultimately forced out. Indeed, certain members of the Farage Sycophants Club have been conducting a whispering campaign against Allison for months.

So much for democracy and freedom of speech - something that Farage is more than happy to pay lip service to when it suits him. But woe betide anyone who dares suggest that the sun doesn't shine out of Nigel's backside!

Allison's membership of another party - Putting Hartlepool First - was used against him. It was claimed that membership of that party was 'incompatible' with membership of UKIP. So why are other members allowed to retain membership of other parties, including senior officials!

Mr Allison decided that enough was enough and resigned from the NEC. He also resigned as Vice-Chairman. He now intends to concentrate on campaigning for Putting Hartlepool First. See: LINK . Mr Allison is the Party Secretary.

UKIP: Notorious extremist joins EFD group

Frank Vanhecke, former Chairman of the Vlaams Blok, and banned racist party, and subsequently Chair of its successor, Vlaams Belang, has joined Nigel Farage's EFD group in the European Parliament.

Vanhecke is notorious for wrongly naming a number of ethnic minority youths in connection with the vandalism graves in Tereken. In fact the perpetrators were indigenous Flemings like himself. As a result, he was stripped of his parliamentary immunity.

In 2007, he was arrested in Belgium for assaulting a bus driver.

The Stephen Roth Institute had this to say about Vlaams Blok: "The Vlaams Blok of Flanders has become one of the strongest extreme right parties in Europe. The most serious anti-Semitic incident in 1997 was the attempt to set fire to the Anderlecht synagogue in Brussels."

Policy Discussion Document

Multiculturalism has failed

Multiculturalism depends on the proposition that all cultures, cultural beliefs, customs and practices are equally valid. Mass immigration into many western countries for the last forty years or more has brought with it some cultures and cultural practices that are alien to western cultures and liberal, democratic political systems. Instead of taking a robust attitude against these alien practices western countries have mostly adopted an attitude of appeasement and cultural relativism. Western Governments have been terrified of criticising or standing up against these practices for fear of being branded ‘racist’ or ‘Islamaphobic’.

Most European and Western countries are multi-ethnic societies and is no reason why people of difference racial and ethnic origins cannot live together peacefully; but to do so requires emphasising those things we have in common rather than those things that separate us. It requires that all citizens living in a given state have broadly the same allegiance, loyalty and belief in a common set of public and political institutions and the acceptance of one legal system. Multiculturalism does precisely the opposite: it creates different and competing groups within one public and political space and is a recipe for division and conflict.

Many European and Western countries have adopted a policy of state-sponsored multiculturalism, designed to preserve and enshrine the beliefs and cultural practices of migrants and to protect and advance them by law and public subsidy. The objective was that the policy of multiculturalism would help absorb and integrate vast waves of migrants from foreign lands. In that it has conspicuously failed – as now has been publicly attested by figures such as Trevor Philips Head of the Race Relations Commission, President Angela Merkel of Germany, President Sarkosy of France, and latterly Prime Minister David Cameron of the UK, to name just four.

However from the point of view of those groups that use multiculturalism to promote their own separate interests it has and is succeeding and they have a vested interest in seeing it continue.

Private Multiculturalism Good: Public Multiculturalism Bad.

A clear distinction must be drawn between private and public multiculturalism. The private practice of religious and cultural beliefs, customs and traditions should be precisely that – private. We can all enjoy the private practice of different cultures and beliefs and share them with our friends and neighbours. That is a good and positive thing that can help bring people together.

The public policy of state-sponsored multiculturalism is quite another thing and it has created an increasingly more fractured, divided, contentious and uneasy societies. It cannot go unsaid that the biggest beneficiaries of this public policy of multiculturalism are Islamic fundamentalist and extremists who use it to extend their own power and influence in order to bring about their long term goal of an Islamic or Islamic dominated state in each one of those countries where they settle. Multiculturalism also undermines those moderate Muslims who wish to embrace Western values but see power and influence being extended to their extremist co-religionists.

Islamic fundamentalism is the cuckoo in the Western multicultural nest. We can either address it now or be destroyed by it in the course of time.

Dismantling Multiculturalism

This short paper is not a detailed history, analysis and critique of multiculturalism and its failure. It is taken as a given that it has failed and has to be dismantled. The points below are suggested policies that could be adopted by political parties and governments of any political colour and in any country in the world that wishes to preserve and promote common western liberal democratic values. The points below are specifically aimed at Britain but can adapted as required.

Policy Suggestions

1. Recognise that Christianity is the cultural heritage of Britain and affirm the secular nature of government and public institutions. This should be recognised by an exception for the Church of England as the historically established church but bishops should be removed from their positions in the House of Lords and the Monarch should lose the power (exercised through the Prime Minister) to appoint the Archbishop of Canterbury.

2. A commitment to end the policy of state-sponsored and funded multiculturalism by local and national government.

3. A commitment to promote a common public culture, expressed in a common language (excluding existing historic regional differences), one legal system and one set of political institutions – none other should be formally recognised by the state.

4. There must be equal application of the law. There can be no separation of people based on religious practices in public places, e.g. in swimming pools and hospital chapels.

5. There must be one language used in national and political institutions and publicly funded places (excluding historical differences such a Welsh in Wales or Gaelic in Scotland). In England only English must be displayed in public buildings such as local and national government offices, universities, colleges, schools, hospitals, clinics etc.

6. Repeal the Act of Parliament that recognises Sharia law in some tribunals, (e.g. for family law, child custody, inheritance etc). Sharia law must be given no official recognition or legal status whatsoever.

7. Repeal the Act (???) that gives official recognition to Islamic Banking. There must be no financial or banking regulations based on religious law.

8. Repeal those Acts (???) which give recognition to polygamous marriage for tax or social security and benefits purposes. There must be no official or legal recognition of polygamous marriages.

9. Stop all government funding to organisations that promote religious fundamentalist or extremist views, e.g. the Muslim Council of Britain, the Quilliam Foundation, the Union of Imams & Mosques in the UK and Ireland etc. Any organisation that requests public funding must be required to sign and actively abide by a Code of Conduct (see Appendix I).

10. Social Security and benefits payments can only be claimed in English where the recipient has been living in the UK for 12 months or more. For those who have entered the UK and do not speak English subsidised English classes must be made available.

11. No granting of planning permission to religious organisations that: do not abide by and actively practice a Code of Conduct (see Appendix I); are funded from outside the UK unless they have a special dispensation from the Home Secretary, such dispensations should discretionary and will only granted where it can clearly be shown where the money originates from, and where it can be demonstrated that it is not from extremist sources, or is intended to promote religious fundamentalist or extremist views.

12. Repeal the Religious Hatred Act (???). The promotion of hatred or violence against individuals or groups is catered for under the normal criminal law. No religious belief system or ideology may be protected from criticism by law.

13. Ensure that the law on forced marriages and female genital mutilation is rigorously enforced.

14. Religious schools should only be allowed where they can sign and show actively to abide by a Code of Conduct (see Appendix I).

15. Repeal the Act of Parliament that gives exception for ritual slaughter for religious reasons. These are outmoded and barbaric practices that have no place in the 21^st century or n the light of humane animal welfare policies.

16. Something on the funding of universities???

17. Enact a law of face coverings in public places. (see Appendix II)

Stuart Wheeler on UKIP's membership

Stuart Wheeler, UKIP treasurer, has confirmed at a recent meeting in London that “The average age of a Ukip member is 72. Thousands of us are going to die every year. Having said that, we are getting a lot of new, younger members." LINK

Sadly, Mr Wheeler is being less than truthful when it comes to younger UKIPPERS. The small number of new more youthful members is not exactly going to do much to boost the declining membership of UKIP. You could fit the entire membership of Young Independence into a very small village hall ...... with plenty of room to spare.

UKIP: William Dartmouth fails to show at Swinton meeting

He had been scheduled to speak at the group's meeting in the Star Tavern, Belgrave Mews, London.

UKIP: Peter Reeve clashes with Eastern Region HQ

The Eastern Region is currently the scene of a major bust-up after it emerged that Peter Reeve - Eastern Region Organiser - had continued working for David Bannerman as a researcher following the MEP's defection to the Tories. Stuart Gulleford - wannabe MEP and manager of Agnew's Chelmsford office - is just one of those UKIPPERS in the East who are not best pleased with the former tractor part salesman. Indeed, there was quite a heated exchange between the two after it emerged that Reeve was listed as a researcher in Bannerman's new Tory publication on the EU. This was something that Reeve had conveniently forgotten to disclose to his UKIP colleagues in Chelmsford.

We can confirm that there are now growing calls for the UKIP RO to resign as many feel that his position is now untenable.

Peter Reeve is currently the subject of an OLAF investigation - along with Bannerman and Agnew - after it emerged that he was being illegally payed out of Agnew and Bannerman's EU allowances. See: LINK

There are growing concerns in Ramsey that Councillor Reeve has been abusing his position on the council in order to secure a chunk of lottery funds (£1.5 million) for groups, including the Neighbourhood Forum - groups that just happen to be controlled by his supporters.

Peter Reeve and Lisa Duffy, his girlfriend, are planning to seek selection as UKIP Eastern Region MEP candidates in 2014.

UKIP: The woes of Gerard Batten

Gerard says "Hi-Di-Hi campers"

There has never been any love lost between Gerard Batten and Nigel Farage. To say that Farage loathes Batten with a passion would be an understatement. He's never forgiven him for backing Tim Congdon as UKIP leader. Indeed, he would dearly love to see Batten replaced as UKIP London's lead MEP candidate in 2014.

Gerard Batten regards Farage as an egotist and a man who "I don't trust". We can't disagree with that!

But just how secure is Batten's position in London? Recent events could prove rather damaging both to him and UKIP. Batten has been accused of racism by a former member of staff and faces an industrial tribunal as a result of his alleged office outbursts. It is interesting to note that UKIP is funding his defence. It comes as no surprise to learn that the leadership were VERY keen to keep this fact from the membership. The final legal bill could could run into many thousands.

We note that there are also serious concerns that Gerard uses his brother's printing company. Harold Batten allegedly does extremely profitable work on EU expenses via a company called Roundel. This is also likely to cause some embarrassment to UKIP.

Many London UKIPPERS now regard Gerard as a spent force in UKIP. He declined to sign Nikki Sinclaire's EU referendum petition, claiming that it "was a waste of time". You can imagine how he felt when that "waste of time" petition secured a debate in Westminster! When challenged about what exactly he was doing to get Britain out of the EU, he cited his speeches in the EU parliament. It was pointed out to him that hardly anyone takes notice of his speeches and that his influence in the EU parliament was little more than zero. Gerard had no answer to this.

Gerard's MEP website can go weeks without a single new article appearing. We note that he has only published one new article on his website since the Westminster referendum debate! What exactly are his researchers doing to justify their salary?

Branches in London have closed and many of the remaining ones are lucky if their membership reaches double figures. Many branches haven't seen Batten for months. Indeed, one disillusioned UKIPPER has described Batten to a colleague of the Junius Team as "London's invisible man".

We also note that Gerard was recently approached by several UKIPPERS and asked to back a call that all future UKIP MEPs should only serve one term. This would, they claimed, prevent UKIP MEPs from going native. Batten become highly indignant upon hearing this, stating that he had "given up a lot" to become an MEP. He confirmed that he fully intends to stand for a third term. Members left the red faced Batten feeling that his MEP salary meant more to him than leaving the EU.

So what exactly has Mr Batten done in all his years as a UKIP MEP? Why didn't he organise a referendum petition on the EU? He had years in which to organise one. Why isn't he following Nikki Sinclaire's example and tirelessly touring his constituency, raising funds and making people aware of the just how the EU is ruining Britain? It seems that Gerard would rather spend his time in Brussels and Strasbourg making endless speeches that no-one listens to.

It's time for a change in UKIP London. It's time for Gerard Batten to make way for a better man.

We note that Lawrence Webb has been selected as UKIP's London mayoral candidate. He is best known for backing Tom Congdon as UKIP leader. So a positive mark for Mr Webb. However, his supporters readily concede that ' Lawrence has absolutely no chance of winning . He's standing to raise his profile for the next Euro elections'. We hear that failed mayoral candidate, Wolfman McGough, was rather upset after being soundly rejected by UKIPPERS in the capital. Fortunately, they realised that his congenital stupidity, his willingness to kiss Farage's backside at every opportunity and his uncanny ability to send members to sleep after talking to them for just a few minutes were not exactly vote winning traits. We must play the politicians at their own game!

When the French, Dutch and Irish voted No to the EU constitutional and Lisbon Treaties, they were asked to vote again. We must force our MPs to do the same. There are loads of other petitions but they are too similar to the one that was granted a debate so therefore will get rejected by the committee responsible.

The EU REFERENDUM CAMPAIGN have started a new petition, it is worded differently so the EU can be re-debated due to a clause in the programme for Government, that the people will be able to table their own bill. Like what happened in other European Counties let’s keep having them vote until we get the ''right'' result!!

Our Prime Minister David Cameron talks about the 'big society' however when a large chunk of society is unhappy with the UK being part of the EU he slaps us down.

Dear Sirs,

I read the article connected to my successful action against Gordon Parkin and UKIP a few minutes ago on the internet.

As ever, Gordon Parkin was economical with the truth, indeed I have grave doubts as to whether he knows what the truth actually is. To begin with the exact total cost of the actions, which of course must be met by the rank and file membership of UKIP, while unknown to me is, I would conservatively estimate, not less than GBP 30,000.

I shall forward further details if you wish, but as far as I am concerned the whole matter boiled down to my being denied the opportunity to defend myself in the face of a ban placed upon me by Gordon Parkin in respect of attending meetings over which he presided. He failed to respond to calls for reason to prevail, hence the legal proceedings. My reason for so doing was simply that once we overlook a person's right to speak in their own defence, we may as well start building the gulags and concentration camps so beloved of those who thought as Gordon Parkin thinks.

The branch has not, as Mr Parkin claimed, been closed down. He attempted to do so at a meeting in August, but this was resisted and a new chairman, Mr Colin Rigg, has now secured permission from the party's National Executive Committee, to pursue its activities in Stockton on Tees. I further understand that once news of this reached Mr Parkin, one of his first actions was to attend Mr. Rigg's house and issue threats against him.

As far as I'm aware Mr Parkin currently holds the title of Regional Organiser for the north east, but in light of the events, as described, I find myself dounting if he will be allowed to continue in that role for much longer.

UKIP: Farage keeps on making an ass of himself

One has to wonder who bothers to do Farage's research. First he makes an ass of himself after falsely claiming that an immigrant was allowed to remain in Britain because of his cat. See LINK.

And then he sends out a message attacking Steven Baker MP for voting against a referendum on the EU. He later had to apologise to the MP after it was pointed out to an embarrassed Farage that Mr Baker had voted FOR a referendum.

If only Farage had bothered to read Junius. We published a full list of all those MPs who had voted in favour of holding a referendum on Britain's membership of the EU. Mr Baker's name was the second on the list! LINK

NIGEL Farage, the leader of UKIP, has congratulated Wycombe MP Steve Baker for voting against the Government on an EU referendum – but only after a message on his behalf had blasted the Parliamentarian.

Mr Baker was one of 81 Tory rebels who defied David Cameron in a House of Commons vote this week on giving the country a vote on the UK's position in the European Union.

But a press release sent to the Bucks Free Press from the office of Mr Farage, one of ten South East England's European MPs, mistakenly criticised Mr Baker the day after.

A statement from Mr Farage, who unsuccessfully ran to become Princes Risborough's MP at the last General Election, said: “Despite two thirds of the people in this country expressing the view that they want to change our relationship with the EU to one simply of free trade and friendship, our MPs have other ideas.

“Sadly, for the people of Wycombe who voted for Steven Baker MP, cast iron guarantees have turned to rust.”

However, Mr Farage's office has apologised to Mr Baker, saying this original message had been sent incorrectly. It stressed the message was not from Mr Farage himself.

It then released the following statement from Mr Farage, which it said should have been sent originally.

“May I offer my congratulations to Steve Baker MP for standing up for the constituents of Wycombe and voting in favour of a referendum on our membership of the European Union,” it read.

“In doing what he did on Monday night he has demonstrated that he puts his country before his party and his career".

A CLASH of personalities at a Teesside branch of a national political party has cost more than £16,000 in legal fees, its North-east organiser has claimed.

The UK Independence Party (UKIP) must carry the can after a row at its Stockton branch triggered a string of court appearances described by one judge as a “storm in a teacup”.

The “unfortunate and regrettable” falling out between Alan Hardy - the branch’s former press officer - and its then chairman Gordon Parkin sparked a legal marathon, London’s Appeal Court heard.

Mr Hardy, who joined UKIP in 2007, two years after he quit the British National Party, “did not get on” with Mr Parkin and, within months, resigned as press officer, telling Mr Parkin that he would not serve in any post on a branch which had him as chairman.

But Mr Hardy continued as a member of the branch and the atmosphere became so poisonous that a meeting in February 2009 had to be abandoned when the caretaker of the hall where it was held asked everyone to leave “on account of the noise from the raised voices”.

Appeal Court judge Sir Mark Potter said the row “escalated to national level” when, in February last year, UKIP’s head office rejected Mr Hardy’s bid to renew his membership, setting the scene for a legal row which culminated in the Appeal Court’s ruling yesterday.

At Middlesbrough County Court last November, Judge Peter Fox QC ruled Mr Hardy had been “wrongfully excluded from membership of UKIP in breach of contract”.

He was awarded £750 damages and UKIP was told to take him back as a member on payment of a £10 subscription.

Yesterday, Sir Mark Potter, sitting with Lord Justice Ward and Lord Justice Tomlinson, said Judge Fox had been right to rule that Mr Hardy’s membership of UKIP had never been lawfully terminated and to award him damages “in respect of the interference with his membership rights”.

The appeal judge said neither the Stockton branch, nor Mr Parkin personally, should have been joined as parties to the case, so Mr Hardy’s case against them failed. However the national party is now facing up to heavy legal costs after its appeal against Judge Fox’s decision was dismissed.

Speaking after the hearing, Gordon Parkin, 59, now UKIP North-east’s regional organiser, told the Gazette:

“Since all of this, the Stockton branch has been dissolved. Mr Hardy, like all the other members of that branch, are welcome to attend meetings in Middlesbrough and Hartlepool.”

Mr Parkin confirmed the whole process had been costly for the party.

He added: “I’m obviously happy that I wasn’t found to be at fault - but the whole thing, as far as I’m aware, came to about £16,500 in costs.”

At a preliminary hearing earlier this year, Lord Justice Ward described the dispute as “a storm in a teacup” after hearing Mr Hardy was by then back in the party.

The Gazette was not able to contact Mr Hardy for a comment.

Here is a list of MPs who voted for a referendum on Britain's membership of the EU. We applaud all those Tory, Labour and Lib Dem MPs who had the courage to defy Cameron, Clegg and Miliband after their disgraceful attempt to gag democracy by imposing a three line whip on them.

We note that Cameron, Clegg and Miliband have the nerve to talk about restoring democracy to Libya. So how about restoring democracy to Britain by allowing the people a real say in how this country is governed? Fat chance under their corrupt rule! ‘GUARDIAN’ OF 100,000 PETITION THAT INSTIGATED THE DEBATE ON EU REFERENUM SLAMS MAIN POLITICAL PARTIES

The founder and coordinator of the 100,000 petition handed in to Downing street last month triggering off the process that has given the debate has criticized the main political parties for treating the petitioners and the electorate with contempt.

Independent MEP Nikki Sinclaire set up the cross party initiative ‘Campaign for a Referendum’ to give a say to the ordinary people sick and tired of the constant arguing on Brittan’s membership of the EU. The Campaign has been supported by many MPs from across the political spectrum.

Ms Sinclaire feels a strong responsibility for those who signed the petition saying “We submitted 100,000 voices to Downing Street and as the ‘Guardian’ of those people I feel the need to speak up for them”

The majority of the signatures were collected by Ms Sinclaire’s campaign bus that went town to town, city to city and canvassed huge support.

Ms Sinclaire says “The signatures were given in good faith by people who wanted to establish for once and for all the UK’s membership of the EU. We would have stuck by the verdict of the people, but the politicians don’t trust democracy any more. They won’t allow us to have our say. We’ve forced them to have the debate, but they have imposed whips. This shows complete contempt for the people who gave them their positions.”

Nikki is urging all MP’s of whatever political persuasion to defy the whips and vote for what the people who put them into power want.

Recent YouGov polls show an overwhelming majority of the electorate want a referendum with 52% would vote to leave and only 30% would vote to remain in the EU.

Nikki, an independent MEP, added: "Clearly the people of Britain want to decide who governs Britain. It must be alarming to the government that despite all their assurances on sovereignty and cast iron promises, more and more people have given up on this European project. This argument has gone on far too long, we must decide our course once and for all in a binding referendum"

Ms Sinclaire will deliver the remainder of the petition forms to Downing Street tomorrow morning at 10.30 am with supporting MPs making the total submitted in excess of 120,000.

UKIP: EFD MEP praises Gaddafi as 'a great leader'

It came as no surprise to learn that Mario Borghezio, Farage's friend and colleague, thinks that Col Gaddafi was “a great leader, a true revolutionary who should not be confused with the new Libyan leadership swept into power by NATO's bayonets and by oil multinationals”. The fact that Gaddafi was a tyrant, terrorist and murderer appears to be of no concern to Lega Nord's wannabe Mussolini.

But should we so surprised? After all, Borghezio has multiple convictions for racially motivated violence, including an attack on a 12 year old child in 1991. In April 2000, during a regional election campaign, Lega Nord members chanted Borghezio's controversial "Prayer of the Gypsy", with its reference to the gassing of "nomads". He has also been filmed more recently explaining to a group of young fascists the need to infiltrate "mainstream" political organisations.

Borghezio has been linked with the neo-Nazi terrorist group "New Order". However, in a recent interview with Italian journalist Claudio Sabelli Fioretti, Borghezio admitted to his involvement with the Belgian Nazi Jean Thiriart, the founder of Young Europe, a group that espoused a united Europe "from Vladivostok to Dublin", organised in accordance with National Socialist principles.

You may recall that Borghezio was suspended from his own party, Lega Nord, in Italy for one month, but still remained a full member of the EFD. His suspension followed his comments in response to the tragedy in Norway where seventy-six people, including children, were killed by Anders Behring Breivik.

Borghezio, described the ideas of Breivik as "good" and "excellent".

So will Farage, Batten, the odious Nuttall, Bufton, Clark, Bloom and the rest of that sordid clique condemn their EFD colleague's latest comments? We await their reaction with interest!

The death of the Libyan leader was welcomed by European leaders. The Council and Commission Presidents issued a joint statement saying that the despot’s demise, “marks the end of an era of despotism and repression from which the Libyan people have suffered for too long".

EU High Representative Catherine Ashton issued a separate statement, saying, “If confirmed, his death brings closure to a tragic period in the lives of so many Libyans.”

However Lega Nord MEP Mario Borghezio, whose proximity to sanity is doubted by many, took a different line, praising Gaddafi in a statement saying: “The end of Gaddafi, who died fighting surrounded by his remaining loyalists, is undoubtedly a glorious one.” He added that Gaddafi deserved “chivalrous” respect as a “Templar of Allah”.

He also said Gaddafi was, “a great leader, a true revolutionary who should not be confused with the new Libyan leadership swept into power by NATO's bayonets and by oil multinationals”.

So in just over two years Nikki Sinclaire has succeeded in doing something that Farage and his sycophants have failed to do in over a decade. Need we say more?

Press Release - House of Commons to debate British membership of the EU

The historic House of Commons debate on if the UK should be allowed a referendum on whether to pull out of the European Union is set to take place next week on Thursday the 27th of October 2011 from mid-day onwards in the main chamber. This follows the presentation to Downing Street of a petition calling for a referendum.

If MPs vote in favour of a referendum, David Cameron will come under huge pressure to offer the British public a chance to say for once and for all if they want to withdraw from the EU.

The Commons Backbench Business Committee met this afternoon to set the date. Nikki Sinclaire MEP who instigated and then delivered, along with a broad cross-party delegation of MPs and MEPs, the petition of over 120,000 signatures to No 10 Downing Street said "This is a victory for democracy, and for the common man whose voice has been ignored for too long. It has been a long haul, but gathering these signatures has been a great experience, and my thanks go out to all those people who worked so tirelessly to make this happen".

The motion that has been submitted for debate is:

This House calls upon the Government to introduce a Bill in the next session of Parliament to provide for the holding of a national referendum on whether the United Kingdom

(a) should remain a member of the European Union
(b) leave the European Union
(c) re-negotiate the terms of its membership in order to create a new relationship based on trade and co-operation.

Nikki Sinclaire has vowed to keep the pressure on David Cameron and his government. "The signatures keep coming in" she said today, "and next Thursday we will be back at the door of 10 Downing Street with even more. The people are speaking out now, the government must listen."

UKIP: Farage and that Peruvian cat

We note that some UKIPPERS, including Farage, are rather pleased that Theresa May, during a Tory conference, 'borrowed' a few lines from one of Nigel's speeches. It concerned a Bolivian immigrant who, it was claimed, could not be deported because of his cat. May's 'theft' of the story is being cited by Farage's useful idiots as an example of how the Tories are nicking UKIP's ideas and peddling them as their own.

But we are far more interested in Farage's original version of the story as told by him during a meeting in Eastleigh, Kent. He claimed that the immigrant was a cat owning Peruvian guilty of manslaughter! A quick check of the facts reveals that Nigel 'I'm not making this up' Farage was lying. The immigrant, apart from overstaying his visa, was a law abiding citizen from Bolivia. The only accurate part of Farage's story was the fact that the man owned a cat! And he didn't escape deportation because of the cat!

How can anyone still believe a word that Farage says? He is nothing more than a lying, corrupt spiv.

UKIP: Christine Hamilton to stand as MEP?

Christine Hamilton is, as anybody who has met her will attest, a charming lady. But UKIP members in the South West are not too happy with her at the moment - having had disgraced former Tory Neil Hamilton forced on them, possibly to head the party list in the region in 2014, there are now rumours that Mrs Hamilton will also be standing, probably occupying the slot below him.

Mrs Hamilton has a knack of spending her time with 'colourful' characters. As Christine Holman she was PA to the delightful Gerald Nabarro. Nabarro was never one to pull his punches, and in 1963 during a debate on immigration he asked the question "How would you feel if your daughter wanted to marry a big buck nigger with the prospect of coffee-coloured grandchildren?". In 1971 Nabarro was charged with a serious driving offence, but was acquitted after claiming that his secretary had been driving his car. Neither press nor the public bought the story, however, and his career was ended by the scandal. Chris Huhne take note.

Subsequently, Christine went to work for Micheal Grylls, an MP who was to provide her with a taste of things to come when he was accused of misleading parliament over payments he had taken to introduce commercial clients to senior politicians. The money was taken from the company of Ian Greer, which was to be the catalyst for the fall from grace of Neil Hamilton.

She has also been associated with Harvey Proctor, who infamously was exposed for holding 'spanking sessions' with teenage male prostitutes.

After marrying Neil Hamilton, the couple acquired the collective nickname of 'Mr & Mrs Cash n Carry'. On one occasion they stayed at the Ritz hotel courtesy of Mohammed Fayed, where they once ran up a bill of over £2000 on 'extras' alone.

Junius has touched previously upon the charges faced by the Hamiltons, and the whole ghastly mess need not be discussed in detail again. But given that Neil Hamilton lost his seat to Martin Bell after being exposed in the cash for questions scandal, it is worth leaving the last words to his wife Christine. "If he's corrupt, I'm corrupt", she famously said. Good luck UKIP SW.

UKIP: Godfrey Bloom's 'Swinton' meeting draws in the crowds!

On October 6th, Godfrey Bloom attended a meeting in London of the breakaway BNP faction of the Swinton Circle. He had been invited by Allan Robertson, who was expelled from the Swinton Circle after he had facilitated the infiltration of the group by BNP activists, including convicted fraudster and wannabe arms dealer Gregory Lauder Frost and the late unlamented Mike 'Scruffy' Smith, believed to be a close associate of Nigel Farage. Robertson continues to hold occasional meetings under the name of the Swinton Circle, along with gay rights activist and Ulster Loyalist Christopher Luke.

The meeting was not well attended - there were just 10 people in the room including Robertson and Bloom.

UKIP: The failings of Derek Clark MEP

A damning indictment of probably UKIP's most incompetent MEP. Written by someone in the know!

Sir/Madam

Re Derek Clarke MEP

I have personally known Derek since before the 2004 EU campaign and although this letter seems personal, I feel that his situation in the party needs addressing. You will all realise that Derek, like myself, is getting on in years and has limitations of what he can do and what is expected of him by the East Midland Members of the UKIP party. Everyone has heard stories of him falling asleep in the EU Parliament and at airports, this is not the publicity wanted by the party and is not encouragement for younger active members to stay in the party. After all these younger members are needed to move our party forward.

As a person Derek is a very nice gentleman but, unfortunately, it doesn’t take an Einstein to see that he is incapable of effectively carrying out his position in his current post as a UKIP MEP. I saw him on one of the days at the last EU campaign and although he was there in person, he did not play an active part with the team on the streets.

Over the last seven years this region has not moved forward, since the departure of Kilroy-Silk, which indicates that Derek’s ability has been a contributory factor in this.

I am outlining the following issues regarding Derek which I feel you should take on board.

1. His closure of regional office leaving the party without one, leaving only his personal office which is not very accessible to the public.

2. Derek dismissed two of his employees/activists on the grounds that there were not suitable for UKIP if this was the case, as Derek knew them before hand, why did he employ them.

3. Lib Dems keep churning out masses of leaflets across our council wards and we have to ask ourselves why we haven’t had any from Derek?

4. Why have we only stood at one County Show across the East Midland Region in the last year?

5. Why has Derek not done any regular surgeries with the public across our region?

6. There has been no extra effort into the effects that the EU and its regulations has had on our East Midland workers at power plants, new infrastructures or Bombardier, in Derby. Again you have to ask yourself why not? Although he attended the Bombardier Union Rally the people of Derby did not know who he was, even though he had been their MEP for seven years. Hid did not speak on the platform because he did not have the common sense to arrange it with the Union Leaders. He has never had any meetings with the Bombardier board of directors or CEO’s and he has never met the workers in situ.

7. Although he has attended some branch meetings, he has never taken on board the need to talk to the general public/voters in the UK and has just settled to preaching to the UKIP loyalists. The party need him to inspire and drive activists forward.

8. During the last seven years we have only had one copy of a regional newspaper as Derek has not supported publication of this.

9. Everyone knows the EU is slowly crumbling with the situation getting worse and that the majority of the public are, in principle, against the EU. Instead of our membership increasing during his seven years in office it has stagnated and been vastly reduced, since the days of Kilroy-Silk. We now have fewer activists on the ground as most of the members are, like Derek and I, too old to actively campaign for the party.

10. We have no ongoing East Midland campaign strategy to gain seats in Westminster and in this respect, Derek has failed UKIP and its members.

11. I strongly believe that because of Derek’s age, and without being ageist, he’ll be too old to carry out his post and duties as an MEP candidate. Our East Midland Members loaned funds for the campaign to get Kilroy-Silk and Derek elected. We need to ask ourselves where is the next £80,000.00 going to come from for the next election in order to campaign properly.

12. We are all fully aware of the part Derek played in the Leicester By Election/Mayoral Election and his subsequent apologies for not stopping the debacle that ensued. The position regarding this was as follows:- The mayoral candidate which he supported was not a UKIP member, not even a UKIP supporter and did not pass any UKIP assessments. She was enrolled as a candidate outside some school gates and had never been a political activist. During the campaign she did not release any photographs, information or any public statements about herself or her policies. She did not attend any hustings or reply to any newspapers, tv or radio stations. She did not give any information to her own campaign team which caused a local neutral newspaper to ridicule UKIP, stating not to vote for its paper Mayoral candidate. Our parachuted parliamentary candidate in Leicester was even a bigger joke. His anti Muslim rants actual made him very unpopular. Leicester is mostly a Muslim area and this situation made some of our activist very wary for their own safety. His rant on You Tube outside the local press office made it more bazaar. We have to ask why the NEC, EMCC Chairman and MEP condoned these ridiculous candidates over and above good local UKIP members/activists. This whole situation has damaged UKIP’s standing in Leicester.

13. Adrian Haynes, one of our general election candidates, was twice asked to stand down by Lord Pearson, even though he was actively campaigning and distributing leaflets for over a year in his constituency. On the first occasion he was asked and Adrian refused, and at this point in time Derek should have supported him and stood by him and requested that Lord Pearson should not ask again, but he let this happen.

14. East Midlands Area does not have a UKIP Exhibition stand or stall with the appropriate advertising regalia like others in the party.

15. Derek has never encouraged pro active UKIP ideas or campaigning in this region. He does not realise the importance of being pro active in the UK and his position is not just to sit on EU committees feeding his

own ego.

16. Derek has stated to the East Midlands County Committee that he had never been and was not under any type of investigation from the EU OLAF department, re any fraudulent misappropriation of his EU office running expenses. It has come to light from fellow MEP, Marta Andreason, that he has been wrongly spending his EU expenses and has been ordered to pay a large sum of monies back to the EU because of this. One leading tabloid newspaper has apparently got all of this information and has not yet made this public. We can only believe that this has not been done so because they are with holding this information, to make a press release nearer to the next EU elections to seriously damaged UKIP’s credibility. You can imagine what headline this would make. Derek will probably want to retain his position as an MEP as long as possible to repay these monies. His best action would be to stand down and take his vast EU Pension package, on top of his teachers and state pension he already receives.

17. Derek has been using a 20 year old photograph of himself and at almost 80, most of the members do not realise his actual age and most have probably never seen him in person.

In the light of all the information we know about Derek , we think now is the time for him to go, if we are to stand any chances in future elections and improve our standings in the East Midlands.

This letter has been sent to Nigel Farrage, all of our MEP’s and each East Midland Branch Chairmen for them to distribute a copy to their branch. Hopefully Nigel will persuade Derek to stand down and give UKIP half a chance in the East Midlands.

Is there anyone out there who still thinks that the odious Paul Nuttall would make a good future leader of UKIP? Then why not listen to his dire appearance on 'Any Questions'? Inept isn't the word to describe it!

The level of his debating skills is best illustrated by his describing Ed Miliband as looking weird and in need of a a lobotomy. Dimbleby even had to remind the wannabe leader that he was a member of UKIP! It was all downhill from that point on. Click here to listen to the fool.

Much has been made of the fact that Lord Hesketh has abandoned the Tories for UKIP. Hardly news when you consider that he is just another failed Tory seeking a place on a sinking ship.

NEC elections

The NEC elections are approaching. The NEC is dominated by Farage's sycophants and is nothing more than a mouthpiece for Fuhrer Farage. Just ask Steve Allison. He actually thought that his opinions would count for something when first elected to that body. He is now sadder but much wiser! See: LINK

Last year I published a marked card of NEC candidates. Many people last year told me they found it helpful to know where candidates loyalties lay. By overwhelming popular request I repeat this for this years runners and riders.

The two outstanding independent thinking candidates are:

both include one MEP , John Bufton and Trevor Colman as seconders. Trevor is now Independent UKIP and John is veering that way. I have worked with John and Trevor in the South West and I can vouch for their honesty, integrity and dedication to our cause. Both Mr Rowlands and Mr Smith have real experience and are not reliant financially in any way on UKIP.

Then I would put those apparently untainted by Cabal and Young Independence (Farage youth) influence, no MEPs or party paid hacks amongst their proposers,

If you want an independent NEC representing and upholding UKIP's aims and ideals then I suggest you vote for the first two above. Unlike the Cabal they are definitely not in UKIP for personal gain and as such represent the true ethos and spirit of UKIP.

The remainder are tainted by a mixture of MEP and party hack support and youth lacking experience. An easy target for Farage dangled Brussels baubles and finance. Most are to a greater or lesser extent Farage sycophants with some indeed supported by Farage himself or his long time associates Nuttall and Malcolm Wood.

I see D Denny, another long time Farage supporter, boasts of being involved in altering the party constitution yet again! So if you want less party democracy in UKIP and more rule from the top think carefully about how you vote.

Neil Hamilton has more political baggage than Jacob Marley's ghost but I can see one good reason for having him on board. He would be a credible alternative leader to Nigel Farage! I anticipate there will be increasing unhappiness in UKIP when Farage pushes on with his pan European party. There will be resulting leadership challenge. UKIP needs a complete clear out at the top and Mr Hamilton and his wife might just do that.

Putkonen is of course remembered as a violent criminal, having been convicted of aggravated rape to an eight-month custodial sentence. He also had to pay a €10,000 fine, presumably to cover medical harm. Speaking at a live radio show, Putkonen called for the female chief of staff at the Ministry of Interior who published the study to resign, and said that the True Finn party does not condone violence. Thankfully, things did not escalate further this time as mr Putkonen was safely at the other end of the telephone line.

Matti Putkonen, rapist and habitual political opportunist is probably the best example of the True Finn hypocrisy when it comes to their value base. Former member of the Social Democratic party, former media rep for a labour union, Putkonen grabbed at the chance to jump ship just as soon as the polls showed a double-figure rise in support for the True Finn party. In a civilised society he would be on some kind of a registry already, and barred from holding a political office.

True Finn MP plays the Nazi card

You all might remember the quote "Whenever I hear the word culture, I reach for my gun." It's frequently misattributed to Hermann Goering, but it actually comes from a pro-nazi play called Schlageter. People usually quote this to point out the brutality and violence of the national socialist regime, well normal people do that. True Finn MP Jussi Niinistö whom I've blogged about before apparently uses the phrase completely without irony.

Helsingin Sanomat reported that in a parliamentary session this Tuesday, Jussi Niinistö said he is a strong proponent of expanded presidential powers, and that "whenever I hear the word parliamentarism, I reach for my gun". Let's just re-iterate that this quote is frequently raised as an example of the despicable brutality of the nazi regime, it's certainly not a phrase that is in common use in Finland and would probably be in itself enough to send you to prison in Germany. Needless to say, this caused quite a bit of a scene in the session, and probably will haunt mr Niinistö for months to come.

UKIP: The sordid activities of John Ison, Mark Croucher and Paul Nuttall

In March of this year, an e-mail emerged suggesting that UKIP's Mark Croucher had been receiving information stolen from an MEP's office. The e-mail contained dozens of highly sensitive and personal documents, relating to the MEP, and was sent by John Ison to winballpizard@yahoo.co.uk. It seems that this e-mail address belongs to Mark Croucher.

Previously, in September 2010, immediately before the Party Conference in Torquay, Ison was believed to have met with members of UKIP's NEC, and is believed to have colluded in making vexatious allegations against Nikki Sinclaire. The allegations were to be orchestrated, with a blog posting by political pundit Iain Dale being the catalyst by which the media were to be drawn in. Dale was not happy at being duped. Quick action ascertained within hours that there were no complaints against Sinclaire, nor was any police force investigating her for any reason whatsoever. The story got nowhere.

But now a new dimension can be added to this rather sordid little man's tale. Ison was allegedly on Paul Nuttall's payroll.

The dates between which he was employed by Nuttall are uncertain, but this suggests that the UKIP hierarchy was not only party to criminal activity, in that an official received stolen information, but that it possibly sanctioned and even paid for it.

There was a certain amount of controversy a while ago concerning allegations that Nigel Farage had put his son, Sam, on the payroll alongside his wife. The story was untrue, but as they say, there is no smoke without fire, and the truth can now be told.

It was allegedly Graham Booth who arranged for the younger Farage to take up a position in a well known retail outlet in the south west; the proprietor being a long-standing UKIP supporter. Sadly, something did not go well, and the youngster was allegedly dismissed on his first day, causing bad feeling all round.

The exact circumstances surrounding the episode are unclear.

We are pleased to be informed by our sources that Derek Clark has been ordered by OLAF to pay back around £60,000 after they found him guilty of False Accounting and Money Laundering. The files are now with the East Midlands police.

Clark has always denied being under OLAF investigation when questioned by concerned UKIPPERS.

Another skilful and entertaining delivery by Nigel Farage, but to what possible purpose, what is to be gained by it or from it? The whole idea and principle of the EU is the destruction of the nation states of Europe including this nation state which makes the EU an enemy of this nation. Standing in the midst of EU advocates pontificating criticisms will not alter or change that fact one iota. But of course there is a reason for so doing. Nigel Farage and his fellow MEPs who now cohabit with our enemy do so for the lifestyle and their obscene salaries paid for at the expense of our pensioners and public welfare services. It must not be overlooked that should they return to this country and campaign for our withdrawal from the EU they would lose their inflated EU pensions.

In this regard the UKIP is no different to all the other gravy train parties, the UKIP does not see itself as complicit in the treason that took us into the EU, which proves that it is no more concerned about our Constitution and its lawful constraints than all the other parties so engaged. The UKIP's duplicitous claim that it is in Europe to fight our corner in our enemy's camp is a nonsense for its very presence acknowledges the EUs authority over this country as legitimate which it most certainly is not.

The fight to free this nation from foreign rule is right here at home between the people and those who have usurped our Parliament and set themselves up as agents for our foreign enemy in Europe. When the EU elections come round the UKIP hierarchy use to effect their unsuspecting and delusioned faithful supporters to rally round and raise sufficient support to ensure they remain on the disgraceful Brussels gravy train, after which they settle down to delivering grandiose meaningless speeches in a foreign land while here at home it remains open season for our treasonous politicians.

Clearly and essentially a political party is desperately needed to represent the British people, to confront the crooks that now rule us and to regain our lawful freedoms and democratic self governance. When the UKIP was first formed it claimed its dedication to doing just that and quite a number of unsuspecting souls believed it. Seemingly the UKIP found it too hard a nut to crack, so on a 'if you can't beat them join them' principle the UKIP leaders grasped the opportunity afforded them by their position to make hay while the sun shone and by persuading their supporter that it was all in their best interest. It is now clear just whose interest it was in. Perhaps the cruellest aspect of the deceit was the fact that a great number of the UKIP's supporters were staunchly patriotic pensioners, who now suffer in penury under the tyranny of a Fascist style regime while the UKIP leaders enjoy the life of Reilly in foreign climes.
