Much has been made on the British Democracy Forum of the fact that UKIP thug - Peter Reeve - came second in a Ramsey By- election.
However, contrast that with this UKIP disaster.

LibDem 269 22.2%
BNP 165 13.7%
UKIP 89 7.4%
Lab 56 4.6%
Turnout was 30.2%
UKIP’s vote was down by 10%.
In 2007, George Stride (UKIP) managed to gain 333 votes in this seat.
What makes this result even worse is the fact that it was held in the heart of Farage’s own constituency.
In several other by-elections held on the very same day UKIP couldn’t even find a candidate!
UKIP’s decline continues. A few comments by blinkered Farage supporters won’t change that.
