UKIP Regional Organiser found guilty of drink driving
It just gets worse!
Don Ransom - Derek Clark's hapless Regional Organiser - has been found guilty of drink driving. He admitted the charge at Boston Magistrates Court this week.
Mr Ransom - pictured above - was find £500, plus £85 costs. He was also banned from driving for 16 months and had to pay a £15 victim surcharge.
Oh dear! That won't help UKIP's electoral chances or reputation in the East Midlands!
Not good. An RO who can't drive is not exactly going to be of much use in the General Election.
Not that we can blame him for hitting the bottle. UKIP's problems at the moment are enough to turn anyone to drink. Just ask Nigel!
Or was the thought of Derek Clark being under investigation by OLAF for alleged misuse of EU funds just too much for the poor man to take?
Derek Clark OLAF Case Number: D/007/033/04.09.08
Derek Clark OLAF Investigation Number: DD/FD-D2008.A1/7133/OF/2008/0240
So can we expect Mr Ransom to face a disciplinary hearing for bringing the party into disrepute?
Thought not!
His political career is clearly over - not that he had much of one in the first place.
We would advise Mr Ransom to ask his wife for a job at their local Tesco store. We hear they are looking for a cleaner.
Would Mrs Ransom be willing to put in a word for him with her boss? And how is that Tesco account, Mrs Ransom?
