The NEC candidates: Independents

All the candidates featured below are generally regarded as being independent. However, it remains to be seen if they are prepared to stand up to Farage and sycophants on the NEC. Sitting on the NEC and facing a disapproving Farage or Nuttall can prove trying if you are weak.

Jill Seymour will certainly attest to that!

Marilyn Swain is probably the best of the bunch. A nice lady. Has promised to fight corruption if elected. Wants former UKIPPERS to rejoin the Party. Is very keen to get Petrina Holdsworth, Robin Page, Del Young and John West to return to the UKIP fold. But why would they want to? Pity about Pearson being her seconder. One black mark for that! Her age will count against her.

Steve Povey is regarded as a 'reformist'. Does have Peter Reeve and Jill Seymour as his proposer and seconder. This must surely must cast some doubt on his ability to recognise corruption and weakness when he sees it. Why would he want to be associated with a man who was being illegally paid by David Bannerman and Stuart Agnew and is now under investigation by OLAF? Two black marks for that! Despite our misgivings we are assured by his colleagues that he is no Farage sycophant.

More NEC candidates later! Will include, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly!
