We have had an MEP who may or may not be a distant nephew of a former Prime Minister. A member of the House of Lords who wasn't actually a member of the House of Lords, and now we have a descendent of Guy Fawkes who - guess what - is not actually a descendent of Guy Fawkes!
Phillip Fawkes "is the 10 times great grandson of Fawkes" declared Farage to journalists (Daily Mail, Feb 4, p18).
Actually, as the mail reports, that is not quite the case....
