UKIP Civil War in North West

We have already published details about the growing unrest in UKIP NW.

More than one UKIPPER has contacted us with complaints that the odious Paul Nuttall can’t even be bothered to respond to their emails. One UKIPPER asked him about plans for the General Election campaign. Several weeks later and our contact is still waiting for a response!

Clearly he is now far too important to bother with the people who helped get him elected to the EU Gravy Train!

Nuttall - UKIP’s wannabe Mussolini and future leadership contender - has also upset many members due to his arrogance, willingness to lie and, above all, his bullying nature. And let us not forget his eagerness to sit with fascists in the EFD.

For instance,

We have had PPCs with criminal convictions forced on branches. See: LINK

We have had phantom branches listed on UKIP’s official website to give the impression that UKIP NW is a thriving region. See: LINK

We have had Gregg Beaman’s account of how Nuttall and McManus sought to get him removed as UKIP’s lead MEP candidate. See: LINK & LINK.

And now we have this series of emails. All are between Fred McGlade ( Nuttall’s RO) and Roy Hopwood (Blackpool branch chairman). They refer to the PPC with a criminal record who was forced on the branch by the odious Nuttall and McGlade.

Hi Fred, I have attached amended Agenda for Wednesday's AGM. You will see that I will now explain the events leading to Hamish's selection and the division of the branch. I would rather this were done by someone involved in a decision I do not support. I will send you, Paul and Phil a copy of the minutes of the meeting.

As you know candidates should be appointed in consultation with the RO. (Selection of Candidates 5.1) You have never indicated to me that Dr Tun was a candidate for Blackpool North and Cleveleys, yet you spell out clearly that he is to be selected at your meeting on Wednesday, with no other candidates for Blackpool North and Cleveleys being present. You are good at quoting the rules when it suits you. Maybe, just for once you could try to follow them. Fred McGlade

I confirmed at last Thursday's North West meeting that I may offer Dr Tun my seat and I would be his Agent. If he is the only candidate he could be selected by the branch committee. Rather than waiting for a committee meeting after the AGM I decided the members at the AGM could select him. If there is more than one candidate the full branch can select the candidate so I am well within the rules if we only have one candidate. I don't expect you would want to delay things further by waiting for a committee meeting. Do you have any other candidates you want to put forward in Blackpool North?

That is all academic now as Dr Tun has just contacted me to say he will not stand unless he can stand in Blackpool South where he has considerable support. I agree with him.

I received your letter about my DNO authority. The North West committee appointed me as DNO and only they after discussing it in a committee meeting can dismiss me.

My authority can only be withdrawn in writing by the Nominating Officer and we don't have one. I therefore reject your dismissal that you have no authority to make. I will ask Phil to put it on the next meeting's Agenda. Regards Roy

You continue to defy both party rules and instructions from the North West Committee. This situation is intolerable and I will seek to have you removed as a Branch officer on my return from holiday. Fred McGlade

Now what have I done wrong? Just for holding a scheduled AGM I am being dismissed as Chairman.

Have a good holiday, Roy

It is amusing to note that Farage’s sycophants have been claiming that the GE blog is under our control. It is not. We don’t know who they are and they don’t know who we are.

It is just as ridiculous as the suggestion that GLW controls this blog. This blog is a separate entity from GLW. Anything you have been told to the contrary is false.

But when did the truth ever get in the way of a good Farage/Nuttall/Croucher lie?
