Derek Clark has reluctantly called a regional meeting for tonight.
A what a farce it will prove to be. The agenda fails to include any mention of the Leceister by-election or mayoral campaign. However, we can well understand Clark's reluctance to discuss these twin disasters!
We note that Andrea Hamilton - the new secretary - is regarded as completely 'on-side' and can be counted on to do Clark's bidding. And the same can be said for the treasurer who just happens to be the regional organiser's wife.

Readers will recall that Clark was under investigation for alleged misuse of his MEP allowances. Readers may also recall that Clark TWICE lied to members of the regional committee when he stated that he was NOT under investigation by the EU's anti-fraud office. Silly man!

We would hate to think that Derek would seek to mislead the membership over this tricky issue! We would urge those present to demand some answers!
