> Farage Facing Imprisonment.

GUEST POST:

Nigel Farage faces a huge fine or even imprisonment, after failing to declare hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of donations.

The Ukip leader received £205,000 worth of donations-in-kind for the use of an office near Bognor Regis.

Under electoral law, donations must be declared to the Electoral Commission within 30 days.
Farage's undeclared donations date as far back as 2001 but were only declared last month.

The Ukip leader now faces the prospect of a maximum £20,000 fine or even a prison sentence.

> UKIP Homophobe Costs Taxpayers £10k

GUEST POST:

THE RESIGNATION of a former UKIP councillor is set to cost borough taxpayers up to £10,000.
It means the cost to county taxpayers for by-elections following the resignation of UKIP councillors in controversial circumstances is set to hit almost £49,000.

Voters in Church Hill will go back to the polls on Thursday, July 17 following Dave Small's decision to resign last week under pressure about alleged racist and homophobic comments made online and in a radio interview.

The by-election takes place less than a month after Mr Small won the seat for UKIP before being booted out by the party just days later because of his views which included branding Sir Elton John and presenter Clare Balding OBE perverts.

Redditch Borough Council estimate the poll will cost between £8,000 and £10,000 and will have to come from existing budgets. But a spokeswoman insisted frontline services would not be affected.
Some councillors have suggested UKIP should foot the bill for failing to vet their candidates properly.

But council leader Bill Hartnett said he did not believe legally there was any justification for the council asking UKIP to subsidise the poll.

"Of course it's an undue expense, it's something we should not have to go through and it's £10,000 we could have spent on something else but myself, the leader of the opposition and our MP called for Mr Small to go so we can't now gripe about how much it is going to cost us," he said.
Coun Juliet Brunner, leader of the Conservative group on the council, said UKIP had a moral and ethical responsibility to contribute towards the cost of the by-election. She added: "I would support a change in the law to make parties contribute towards election expenses if a by-election is called due to the unsuitability of a candidate."

It is not the first time UKIP has been accused of costing taxpayers' money. A by-election costing £22,000 had to be held in Stourport last year after Eric Kitson, who won the seat on Worcestershire County Council for UKIP, stood down after a row over racist Facebook comments.
The recent by-election for the Arrow Valley East seat in Redditch on the county council is estimated to cost more than £16,789.

It followed former UKIP councillor Martin Jenkins' decision to quit in protest at the party's stance on gay marriage, although the cost was partly offset by being held on the same day as the European and borough council elections.

A spokesman for UKIP said: "Certainly lessons have been learnt surrounding the situation [regarding Dave Small]. The matter was dealt with as a matter of urgency by UKIP and appropriate action has been taken.

"Regarding by-election costs, the individuals concerned are no longer UKIP members so maybe they are the ones that should be making a contribution. The failure was not on UKIP's part to the electorate."

> Could She Make It Anymore Obvious?

GUEST POST:

UKIP leader Nigel Farage's wife was involved in an astonishing public bust-up with the woman accused of being his secret mistress.

In extraordinary scenes at a UKIP election party, furious Kirsten Farage is said to have screamed at Annabelle Fuller: "I will have security drag you out by your hair if you don't leave".
The row erupted this week at a hotel where UKIP politicians and officials had gathered to celebrate the party's success in the Euro elections.

Miss Fuller - a former UKIP spin doctor - was left in tears. Farage was later seen apologising to her at a nearby pub.

This is astonishing stuff, and yesterday's headlines, and the photos of Farage entring a hotel holding hands with a blonde, can only maker it even hotter, chez Farage.

We are aware of how much certain elements in the media are prepared to pay - the question is, will it be Anabelle or Kirsten who takes the offer? They should remember, the one who breaks ranks first will be the one who gets all that cash!

The former UKIP press officer who is boasting about what he knows can probably forget it. Its Annabelle or Kisrten they want!

> Farage Caught Out - Again!

GUEST POST:

This one made us laugh here at Junius Towers.

The Daily Mirror story speaks for itself. But lets get one thing straight here.

However, he did admit he was there to raise money for his party but refused to say if he was going to keep the fee.
He said: “I have not decided that yet. I might, I might not. I have some very serious medical bills.

Errrr Nigel, you are an MEP. The European Parliament will reimburse you your medical bills! So will you keep the fee, Nigel?

Also, Nigel, if she is so disabled that she needs her hand held, should she really be wearing those heels?

> Send In The Clowns!

GUEST POST:

The Junius team decided, for tactical reasons that we need not explain to the educated, to take a back seat during the Euro-elections. It was our intention to remain silent until it was all over, but we could not resist sharing this with the world.
It is a press release from UKIP's Irish Republican press officer, Hermann Kelly. For those of you who are unaquainted with this individual, we would simply say that he is famous amongst the Brussels press corps for his stupidity, and know more widely for his history of violence against women. http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/rival-writers-in-live-tv-dustup-26451279.html
Enjoy.... We include Kelly's contact details so that you can all call him up at work and tell him what UKIP should do. We even decide not to hide his mobile number!
News item of the Euro elections is the Rise of the Eurosceptics.

EFD Group press release.

25th May 9pm. Immediate.

Eurosceptics of centre, left and right are poised to do very well in the European Elections, doubling the vote from roughly 56 to over 115 according to projections.

EFD Group spokesman, Hermann Kelly said:

“The EFD Group is very hopeful of increasing the size and number of its delegations by taking in members from Southern Europe in greater number, as opposition to the Euro project grows.

We also expect UKIP to double its number of MEPs in the European Parliament, underlining the growing resentment of the EU imposing laws upon an unwilling population.

We are confident what these elections will give voice to the increasing antipathy across the continent of Europe towards the centralist project.

Ends

The EFD Group panel of spokespeople will be at the Level 3 passarelle in the European Parliament throughout tonight.

> Stuff You - I'm Alright Jack!! Farage the Leech.

GUEST POST:

It is interesting to note that Bruno Waterfield has written now about a story he was tipped off about 6 years ago.... Better late than never, we guess.

"MEPs including Nigel Farage and senior Conservative, Labour and Liberal Democrats benefit from a secretive, heavily subsidised EU second pension scheme that will cost the taxpayer an extra €227.7 million (£187 million), it can be revealed.

Thirty-eight of Britain’s 73 serving MEPs are members of the European Parliament’s “Additional Voluntary Pension Scheme” meaning they could receive over £41,000 a year extra above and beyond their main EU pension.
The “actuarial deficit” of the scheme – the black hole that the taxpayer is liable for – rocketed by €72.1 million (£60 million) in 2012 and is now £187 million in the red, The Telegraph has learned.
Mr Farage is one of the MEPs known to be in the scheme, which keeps the identities of its members a closely guarded secret despite the fact that 66 per cent of its assets come from public funds.
He defended his participation in the scheme that could give him a combined pension pot worth an estimated £71,000 a year by 2019, if he remains as a British MEP after elections to the parliament on May 22.

“It is not a system that I defend but it is the system,” he told The Telegraph. “The payments should be reduced. The circumstances have changed and the payments should be cut but I don’t think they will be.”

Syed Kamall, the leader of Conservative MEPs and Glenis Willmott, who leads the European Parliamentary Labour Party, are among the scheme’s members, as well as Sir Graham Watson, the president of the EU-wide Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe.

Their names are only known following the publication of leaked documents by Hans-Martin Tillack, a German investigative journalist and the Open Europe think tank.

“This scheme is one of the oddest and most objectionable creations to come out of the EU. Many MEPs who should know better have unfortunately been part of it,” said Mats Persson, the director of Open Europe. “The scheme should be closed immediately.”

British taxpayers have already contributed over £100 million to the fund. European Union court papers show that the fund will be entirely bust by 2026 at the latest, despite being closed to new entrants in 2009, with the public purse left with an additional bill of £187 million.

During the 15 years that the second fund was open for business, a participating MEP’s monthly contribution was £982 a month. This was topped up by £1,965 of public money per month."

> What happened to the £287,000 donated to Farage’s local branch?

GUEST POST:

The Times today reported that almost £300,000 in Ukip party donations were paid in to Nigel Farage’s local branch and withdrawn as unspecified “other costs”, raising further questions over the party’s funding.

Ukip insiders have repeatedly raised concerns over £287,734 spent by the party’s southeast branch in 2004 and 2005. The money was not used for campaigning, communications, property rental, utilities or auditing and was described only as “other” running costs, according to accounts filed with the Electoral Commission.

It gets worse Nigel, doesn't it?
