Malcolm Wood
We note that Malcolm Wood - South West activist, employee of the party and regional chairman - has died. Our sympathies are with his family at this sad time.
It is regrettable that Mr Wood was unwilling to tackle corruption in UKIP or stand up to Nigel Farage when the occasion demanded it. It should not be forgotten that he was instrumental in the departure of Dr Eric Edmond from the SW regional committee after Eric raised concerns about corruption in UKIP. This was done at the behest of Farage.
His handling of Gawain Towler - after the latter was accused of inappropriate sexual behaviour - left a nasty stain on his reputation. The SW Committee had decided to remove Towler as an MEP candidate due to the serious nature of the allegations. However, this decision was overturned by Farage. Mr Wood did nothing to uphold the original decision and meekly accepted what Farage had done. That Mr Wood should have made the police aware of the serious allegations concerning Towler is irrefutable. That he chose not to do so cannot be excused. See:

More spin from the Farage sycophants
We really have to admire the desperate persistence of those sycophants who continue to spin on behalf of Farage and his creatures. If Farage was caught robbing a bank you can be certain that they would still find some way to him defend and praise him!
Which brings us to UKIP Scotland!
UKIP are contesting just 37 out of the 1200 seats up for grabs north of the border. A truly pathetic showing! And yet this is being spun as a triumph. Indeed, they are also claiming that UKIP is set to beat the Lib Dems in many of the seats. We recall the usual suspects making similar claims in Bradford. And the result? UKIP came fifth ..... behind the Lib Dems!
They never learn!

Hi,
it is more than somewhat embarrassing that after over 48 hours the ONLY person willing to put their name to support of Malcolm Wood on the active thread on UKIP controlled Forum of Anthony Butcher's is the odious liar and cheat Mick McGough.
Even then Mick McGough unsurprisingly lacks the good grace to speak in favour or praise of Malcolm Wood without using the thread to abuse others, without a single fact to support his abuse!
Regards,
Greg_L-W.
