UKIP NEC elections: Paula Daly faces complaints

Paula Daly has been the subject of several complaints after UKIPPERS in the East Midlands noticed that her NEC election statement contained falsehoods.

Claims to have been a Euro election candidate in 2009. False.

Claims to have been UK General Election candidate in 2010. False.

This matter has now been brought to the attention of Zuckerman, the Returning Officer.

Paula Daly was formally married to an Irishman whose name she chooses to keep. She lives in Nottingham and commutes to London where she works for Gerard Batten. You will note that her seconder is Lynnda Robson, her work colleague. One of her assentors is Batten.

You may recall that Toby Micklethwait produced an election campaigning leaflet/booklet for use by UKIPPERS. She got hold of the booklet and distributed it in the East Midlands. We don't have a problem with that but should she have claimed it as her own work?

UKIPPERS should be very cautious of her. She is deeply distrusted by UKIPPERS in the East Midlands due to her eagerness to turn a blind eye to corruption in the party. But as she is in a hurry and has ambitions to become a UKIP MEP should we be that surprised?

A Farage sycophant from her head to her toes!

This is what we had to say about in a previous post:

Aged 46. Where has this women been? She claims to find “the media’s dismissal of UKIP as closet racists as deeply offensive”.

Has she ever heard of Farage’s EFD Group of which UKIP’s MEPs are members? We advise her to check out the policies of the EFD’s Lega Nord. Perhaps she should also ask Bannerman – who signed her nomination paper - why he is happy to sit with a party that believes in racial segregation on public transport.

The former leader of Lega Nord, Umberto Bossi, an MEP in the last parliament, was convicted of incitement to violence in 1998. He received a one-year suspended prison sentence. He had previously received a conviction for taking a 200 million bribe. In 2003 he described Africans as "Bingo-Bongos", and suggested that the Italian navy should open fire on boats carrying refugees.
We don’t advise her to attend any meetings of the Lega Nord as her colour may offend their sensibilities. She really needs to speak to Nikki Sinclaire!

Clearly naive or just plain stupid. See: LINK

No not naive or stupid.

Unscrupulous and dishonest.

Will do whatever it takes to get power and retain it.

She not only pulls the wool over other peoples eyes but her own too, when it suits her!

Agreed. Why does UKIP attract such dishonest people?

It is interesting Junius, that you ask why UKIP attracts such dishonest people. I have been wondering the same.

One thing that did occur to me is that 'small' groups and small organisations, do attract people who are looking for power.

It is much easier to be accepted, welcomed and to find a place where your talents can be used in a smaller group, than it is in a larger well established group where all the key positions are filled.

Every small group and organisation are looking for leaders; for someone to do this and that and the other. Any new member is welcomed therefore with open arms and their talents and time quickly utilized.

If you are willing to give of your time freely, then most groups or organisations will be pleased to have you on board and to overlook your flaws.

People choose to overlook flaws big and small because they need enthusastic, committed people who are willing to take on responsibilty.

Whilst many people have the capacity to lead, not many have the absolute certain confidence to do so.

Hitler once advised a student who wrote to him asking how to become a leader that he should "take the power". "Do not put yourself up for election ... seize the position yourself", advised Hitler.

Highly confident, arrogant, self-assured people do just that, ableit in one cunning way or other.

To do what Hitler advises takes a tremendous degree of self confidence, arrogance, some would say, and courage and boldness. I can understand where Hitler was coming from when he advised this, although I do not recommend or endorse this way of going about things.

Human beings in many respects yield themselves to authoritarian people. They feel safe, secure, that this highly confident person knows exactly what they are doing.(Even if they don't!).

You might not like Margaret Thatcher but you know she will get things done.

You might not like Nigel Farage, but he is an eloquent speaker, looks immaculate, always,(good for television) is controversal and promotes discussion and most of all he is enthusiastic and WANTS leadership and all the responsiblity and aggravation that goes with it.

Indeed, for the likes of Nigel Farage and other political animals aggravation, swords and daggers are no deterrent to their running the race and reaching their goals.

They ENJOY the game of politics.
All the intrigue, back stabbbing, planning, revolts and scheming.
It is music to their ears.

The late Sidney Sheldon had, in one of his novels a female who was the head of a large and powerful corporation. She stated that "Power was better than sex".

Some years ago a supermodel stated words of a similar nature, namely that the reason she had an affair with an exstreamly dull and dowdy looking MP was because she was attracted to the power of his position.

THE power; that gives excess to people of knowledge, influence, people you need to network with to achieve your goals.
Also, power is sought to gain reverence, respect, admiration, envy, jealousy from others and access to powerful and influencial people who can help you along your way.

Who does not like to be admired, respected and praised.

Just as in the West the goal of sex is the 'orgasm', so in attaining a position of power a person gains ultimate satisfaction in gaining admiration, praise, money, houses, boats, material assets that fulfils their deepest needs of feeling all powerful; of being a little Deity, a God, 'the world is my oyster, and I can have what I want'.
