UKIP: Nigel Farage prays for salvation as he loses another EFD MEP. He also loses a major backer!

Last week we promised you a major story. Here it is!

Nigel Farage's EFD (the European Fascists and Dogmatics) group in the European Parliament is struggling.

Having lost one of his own party (with others set to follow) Farage is not looking so good in the eyes of his euro-colleagues.

He has just lost another MEP. No wonder Nigel has started to pray for salvation!

And as for the backer .... wait and see. Monday is the big day for the official statement!

Now back to the MEP.

The chap in question is a true gentleman, and has agreed to help Farage by not announcing his departure until after the British General Election, but Junius can report that French MEP Phillipe de Villiers has now joined forces with Sarkozy, and will leave the EFD to join the ECR. Oh dear, Nigel, have we just given away one of your most sensitive secrets?

The most interesting aspect of this is the fact that Farage has kept this information away from his spineless disciples, the other UKIP MEPs, as they are not deemed important enough to bring into consideration. Farage also knows that they are so gutless, that even if they are deceived, they lack what it takes to stand up to him. He chose his "useful idiots" well.

And so his plan to bring the Dutch Freedom Party into the EFD becomes even more important.

But there is a bit of a problem here.

When Geert Wilders went to Strasbourg to show his film about Islamic extremism to MEPs, he was shunned by Farage, (who behaved very rudely towards him, even refusing to sit at the same table at lunch). The showing of the film was banned by the European Parliament's Bureau. Minutes of the bureau meeting reveal something rather interesting - the motion to ban the film was tabled by none other than Hans Blokland, a Dutch member of UKIP's Ind Dem group.

Bureau meetings are highly secretive, and so the Dutch Freedom Party never knew who was behind this move. They know all about it now, Nigel!

Farage is keeping another secret from his MEPs.... hmmmm, we may wait a few days before explaining that one!
